Sidelining???

Okay, so we've all done, or heard of mainlining a plant or the manifold by nebula. What about this? I thought sidelining would be a good name for the technique. It involves h.s.t. (high stress training. A little l.s.t. also. Has anyone attempted this, done this? If not it's mine lol sidelining, johnp410. I've cut all the shoots on the ground facing side as well as the fans that go to the shoots. On top side I left all shoots/branches, the ones that are on the sides I've left also. Just something I'm playing around with. Chime in.

So you're training that one plant to cover as much horizontal space as you can. Without cutting the tops like in manifolding?

Nothing new brother. Kinda like scrogging without a net. It's been done by plenty of growers including myself. All your doing is bending a plant one way as much as possible and letting the side shoots grow upward. It's work until the nugs starts packing on the weight and you'll have to support the branches.

That's basically it, only potential tops I've cut are the ones facing the ground. I have cut most of the ones towards the bottom of the plant to make more tops. Hell I've just about done that to the whole plant.

I knew it was a pretty basic concept. Lol I did it to a critical hog last year. I didn't do it to this extent though. Ya support was a pain in the end. Critical hog packs on some weight. I use protekt from dynagro it help alot with strengthening the stems. Im Going to go as far as I can with this one. If it starts to have problems I'll let her loose. Figured it wasn't nothing new. Just haven't seen noone go but so far with it.

It's what I've done for years, most anyone that knows how to prune MJ does it. Isolate and focus growth on apical meristems. That plant isn't big enough to need any pruning, unless you're running inadequate lighting. Did you do that after it started flowering?

Isn't this essentially a supercrop? Ive seen many plants and trees do this in nature, I expect it to do well for you, I had a plant that fell over as a fan fell on it in my first grow and it was my best producing plant.

It's outdoors, trying to get it back in veg now days are still kinda short. Once back in veg I'll have to transplant and train it for about 2 to 3 months before it starts flowering again. I've thought of just doing some light dep to go ahead and finish her but I'm undecided. It's dr Krippling mind can'trol.
