hi guys going to build a 16 cree 3590 fixture for 4x4.

Looking at running 2 HLG-185H-c700's. I believe I can run 8 Cobs per driver. Want to make sure this would be the best and most efficient way of running all 16 cobs.

Let me know what you guys think! Thanks.

I would run them at 1400 mA ... that gives you 50 watts a square foot.. with dimmers... checkout the cxm 22 (50v) and citizen 1216 as cheaper alternative to cree..

Okay was hoping to only have to run 2 drivers. With the 1400 I'd have to run 4 drivers correct? But this will give me more power to each cob?

From what I understand, the standard for that space is a 1kW HPS so you should look at how much actual photon energy you need to generate from your arrays to duplicate the HPS.

800watts cxb3590 will kill 1000watt hps side by side. Hell throw a 600watt hps in with the 1k, and those cobs will still outperform the hps

Yeah you want 4 drivers. You need more power than ~440w in a 4x4 so again 4 185 1400 drivers
