Keep reading, keep thinking...

Once age is taken into account, those born in 1990 have double the risk of colon cancer and quadruple the risk of rectal cancer compared to people born around 1950, when risk was lowest.

No, you are worse than both. You are a dumbass who can't get it through your thick head that the country needs responsible public policies. This is why you like Trump - he is a dumbass too.
your funny and not hyperbolic or partisan at all...

I identify as a cookie monster nihilist. The nothingness of cookie monster, looks like you already practiced it.

Sorry that Humana and Aetna disagree, but facts.
What facts? Gee, Humana and Aetna want more profits and hold you in their thrall. Big fucking deal. Damn near every industry association realizes that Trump-care is fucked and you quote corporate, for-profit sources and accept what they say as your own opinion. You are too stupid for information - you need FOX.

I love my union retiree coverage group rate.

Everybody should have a group rate. Somebody is taking advantage of somebody with these fucking rates.

While a CEO laughs in the Caymans.
I pay $103 @ month for myself and get excellent care with $3 co-pays, I'm with you on that someone is fucking lots a folk out there, is it any wonder why the pukes hate Unions so much especially Trump.

How does $103 rate in terms of other policies? I have no clue about shit like that.

I pay $350 for me and the wife.
$10 copay $600 deductable ($300 ea.)

Before I retired, it was $20 copay, same deductable but free otherwise.

These group rates are special arrangements. Example:
Dr. charges $500. Insurance co. pays $215 and you pay $10. Fine print says, 'by special arrangement between Highmark, your Dr. accepts this as full payment.'
Neither Drs., hospitals, dentists, PT, nobody gets what they charge. They inflate the price to get the insurance co. to pay what they expected to begin with.
They all seem to be doing OK. Lol.

When you have upwards of 40,000 members in a Union and a dedicated arm of that union who sole purpose is to look out for retirees health care issue they negotiate with insurance companies for their members, that is strength in numbers. My union just bargained for dental it's not much but how many retirees can say their pension covers dental.

You have insurance companies raping individuals in the form of higher deductibles and premiums cause they have no bargaining position. Take greed/profit out of health insurance and watch $1,000 @ month premiums disappear.

It's not straightforward question to answer because people can affect cost of coverage by choices such as deductible and subsidies are available for people with low income. Average cost is listed below. Not out of line with what I pay. But I get pretty good coverage. Last year my wife broke five ribs in a bicycle accident. We ended up out of pocket cost of around $1100 including deductible. Not cheap. But the accident would have been ruinous if we hadn't had coverage.

Average premiums and deductibles nationwide unsubsidized shoppers:
  • Premiums for individual coverage averaged $321 per month while premiums for family plans averaged $833 per month.
  • The average annual deductible for individual plans was $4,358 and the average deductible for family plans was $7,983.

Sounds like a good thing. Like I said, I don't know, I'm (guiltily) lucky enough to not have to pay for insurance, so thanks for the info.

I don't know why so many people in this country don't demand their legislators to introduce a bill for universal healthcare coverage that cuts insurance companies out of the picture all together.

Medicare has been a good deal for my mom. She would have been broke and completely dependent on state and federal support for years now if it hadn't been for Medicare. It's time to recognize healthcare as a public service that everybody needs like roads and defense.
