Does colloidal silver really work for female seeds?

From what I read they say when it starts flowering periodically spray the silver throughout its life cycle. Now this will produce male pollen sacks with female pollen in the sacks. Now you can let that plant pollinate a female plant. The second plant (the one with just bud) will produce feminized seeds. Ps. They say do not smoke the plant sprayed with silver.

I spray mine 2x a day. As soon as lights go out and 2 hours before they come. Most time between spray WHILE being dry when lights come on. You start the day you flip and you don't stop until ballz develop!

Once they've formed you can stop spraying. If you don't use strong enough solution it won't work. If you miss days who knows what will happen.

Yes it absolutely works. I've done it and am doing it right now.

MOST IMPORTANT THING OF ALL. ONCE YOU'VE SPRAYED A PLANT THE AREA YOU SPRAYED CAN NOT BE CONSUMED!! Fine for pollen but if you don't spray the whole plant you can't over spray. I do the whole plant so there's no confusion. If I only want a little I veg less.

Yes BUT, STS is far better! Far, far better!
I was searching this method earlier this week. I almost bought the 2 products. But I held my fire to make SURE I got the right stuff. And not more than I really would need.

Other than making sure it doesn't get on anything that would be ingested I'm not sure what makes it "worse" than sts. I'm not concerned with it at this point. Because I'm changing my methods anyway. The plants were already in the process when I started research. So for this batch I was already in.

My reasoning is simple. I make it as fast as I use it. So I start making it 2 days before I want to use it. I'll undoubtedly forget to empty the generator at 24 hours once in awhile. Or be slow to replace. I'm tired of having to worry about having it prepared.

From what I've read STS is just a matter of mixing 2 solutions. Then combining them properly. Then you store it in the frig. That seems so much simpler to me. If it's better than CS what a bonus!

I just wouldn't recommend anything I hadn't tried.

Tiresias Mist is also an option for reliably reversing a female. Just make sure you buy enough to finish the job. Trust me, a 1oz. bottle ain't gonna cut it. A 4 oz. bottle can easily be found for $50-$60 and is a worth while investment.

Colloidal Silver works best if you make it yourself, because most store bought CS isn't really CS, its Silver Ion, or something similar. Silver Ion will not reverse a female, but it will ruin your breeding project, and piss you off, guaranteed!

You don't use CS in making real deal STS!

Just use this type of silver.

They say some females are true females and nothing you do can turn them hermie.
I bet such a plant would be good for receiving the pollen. Just a shame you'd have to torture a bunch into growing balls to find that rare plant.

Don't know if it is an old wives tale.

Neither myself, or the other member that you quoted, mentioned anything about trying to make STS with Colloidal Silver.
OK but, STS works better and is less stress on the plant....He also wasn't exactly sure on the right chemicals - I gave him that and linked you because the mist is a pain....
You can make a shit ton of STS for the same cost. Sell the left overs to friends.....

So what is the recipe once I procure the proper ingredients?

This is the most common one - I use it.

Prepare:
.1 Grams silver nitrate
.5 Grams sodium thiosulfate

First, mix .1g of silver nitrate into 100ml distilled water, stir for about 30 seconds.
Next, mix the .5 Grams Na2S2o3 into 100m distilled water, also stir for about 30sec-1 minute...

Next mix the solutions by pouring the Silver nitrate into the sodium thiosulfate solution while stirring..

After you are done stirring, add this to 1000ml of distilled water..

BE CAREFUL!

Use NO metals in making this, like spoons or bowls.....

Be sure you do this on nothing you want to keep! Spilling the silver in any form will stain it brown to black - including fingers and it takes longer then a month to go away!

So spraying on newspaper in a big area is a good idea!

Great info as usual Dr. Who! I will be making an order right away.

Your welcome Cindy!
Oh, and I like the 99.95% pure silver nitrate.
And use bottles that light can not get through!
