Grading Each B.C. Political Party's Stance On Cannabis

I hope not but we'll see...I wonder though if within that year the green party gets official party status. It doesn't have that here in BC I read tonight...and so that means more funding and help from government if they get it...I am not sure how they get it but know that the other parties can help them somehow in getting it. That would be a big jolt for the Greens...we'll see. They can put pressure for now if things stay as they are. Recounts are still ongoing as i understand. They have 72 hours from May 9 to request those recounts...
 
well i hope you green voters weren't in parksville :wink: ..couldn't get your stuff straight; split the vote, and let the liberal roll (pun intended :mrgreen:) to an easy victory

gonna be real interesting.. Greens have a lot of power and a lot of attention now.
make or break time IMO
what they do with their swing votes and who they align with on certain issues will be huge for them going forward (in that; this is the best they'll ever do, or they'll gain many more votes next time.. depending on their actions)
hope they can get some vote reform done before the next election.. hope i win the lottery too though.

love minority govs.. hate how we'll vote sooner, but love that a lot less bad shit can get passed through and rammed down our throats. i always feel safer under a minority government. (cause it feels like they have to actually work on important issues to the people, not just to their top party donators)

*hey maybe BC wont burn this fire season, as we might actually hire Coulson and the martin mars *who lost the contract to a company who donated more to the liberals.. and we watched everything burn a few years a go... before they finally gave Coulson a small contract to help in what became an emergency :wall::dunce:

the dude has screwed everything he's headed in his time
forestry when mills were shutting down dropping like flies, and logs heading out.
public/mental health, when our suicide rate is at it's highest. and people were spending hospital stays in hallways.
housing.. guess when tent city was? look at house prices in victoria

baffling. i don't know if he's the libs go-to fall guy, an idiot with good ties, or what.. but it's crazy he keeps getting elected and put in top positions.

There is also 175,000 absentee ballots that won't be counted until the 24th. Site-C, Kinder Morgan or any number of other issues will cripple the ruling party's ability to govern and we go back to the polls. I prefer minority governments, but when they are this thin they always result in an early election. Remember the Harper minority? We voted 3 times in two years I think.
 
IF the seat totals stay the same. Then, if I were the green party I would throw my support behind whichever candidate will mandate proportional representation.

What would happen if EVERYONE voted for an independent? They would be forced to work together.
 
How about people vote for who they like, instead of voting to just remove somebody they don't like, and replacing then with someone they dislike a little less. People are afraid to vote for who they want, because of the threat from the big parties of vote splitting. I'll be watching closely to the greens to see if they stay true to their platform or if they sell out. Seems every election vote splitting is an issue, swaying people not to vote for who they want. Enough! Stick to your guns people.

it'd sure be nice to change the system eh?
have a few candidates in your riding, who will go and represent you and the people who voted for them, not their party.

i honestly wonder; can we ever even change the current western political mold? i really doubt -baring an apocalypse (which may be the only thing to fix most of this world TBH)- we ever can/will. it's too entrenched and the rich & powerful are just to rich & powerful now to let it.

I'm happy it's being legalized, it's been a lifelong dream. It's too bad they are fucking it up though. Legal means legal, any restrictions or penalties beyond those already in effect for alcohol are designed to protect Trudeau's cannabis cartel. It will all get straightened out eventually, but I'm tired of waiting. The lawyers are salivating at the imminent constitutional challenges to an unworkable piece of legislation. Unfortunately, you, I and our children will be paying for their fuckups.
 
I'd like to see a craft industry too, but 12 months and counting down till legalization,- have you heard where you register as a craft grower? Me either. Their plan, imo, is to delay implementing anything that will affect the lousy producer's bottom line for as long as they can get away with it. There is no other industry that Ottawa controls who participates in it. There is also no other industry so heavily infested with former politicians and civil servants or so heavily invested in by many high ranking Parliament Hill types. Don't be mistaken into thinking they are doing this for you.
