I just found an article that a res. change too early can cause the root problems, which can make it look like my issues. Added some cal mag plus. Had it run for a day, and today the lower leaves look worse, crunchy, curled up, dying basically. Top leaves still dark green and drooped down. I believe the whole thing is related to the root issues. What I read was that changing too early makes the roots lose their resistance/bio film or something. This is the site: http://www.growweedeasy.com/root-rotDon't do that again... lol. I assume some noob told you you had nute burn and that it needed to be flushed away like that? Yeah that's bad!
There's no point to flushing DWC because you can just empty the reservoir and start over if the mix is bad.
The ppm is now 472, Ph 5.7, (was 6.6 before adjusted today) water temp 66.7 degrees. I did do the res change 2 days ago (before reading the article...) and changed to biothrive grow and calmag, with hygrozyme. These were recommended by the hydro shop I visited. After adjusting the ph today and not adding any nutes, their are tons of foamy bubbles and ALOT more air coming out of the air stone than usual. I don't know about the foamy bubbles, but I know that more air bubbles is good. Just weird that I'm seeing more using a different nute line. I suppose if it truly is a root issue that is the 'root' of all the issues, then it'll take a few days to clear up, as I'm supposed to see better growth in the roots. I noticed though that this new nute line stains the roots a darker brown though, but seeing the bad colored roots before I believe I can tell the difference.
Again, this all started to go downhill fast once I added the insect prevention stuff, and even worse once the flush was done. If this plant turns to a ghost, so be it, I just hope I can figure out the right way to do the bubble bucket thing once/if my new seedling is ready to go to a hydro bucket.
