I'd hook you up just before Katahdin. (Then send ya up the trail to Getawaymountain) Smoke, hot meal or some time off the trail in a real bed.Getting a bag of goodies in the middle of the hundred mile wilderness would be trail magic indeed. That is the longest stretch without easy resupply on the trail.
I was ready to go this April. Except for two not so small problems. A job and a wife. I'm only 56, so I can't stop working for a few years yet. Yet these old bones are getting older all the time. The wife wants me to section it, and that makes more sense. But I want to do in one summer. The most likely start date is April 1, 2023. If my boss would give me a six month leave of absence, I would go for it next year.
Hiking the trail is one reason I wanted to learn how to Spring crop. I could be finished for the year by mid March. I had also thought about getting my BIL to start seeds for me, and me run home long enough to plant about July. You have to summit Mt. Katahdin in the fall before it is iced in. {Like it is today} So I should be home in time to harvest.
45 gallon containers, coots mix.compost, happy frog soil conditioner,perlite(1/3,1/3,1/3) minerals(basalt, oyster shell flour, glacial rock dust)neem meal, crab meal, kelp meal, gypsum.little ewc on top for good measure.supposedly this mix gets bettr over time.this will be my second grow in it(mixed last spring and i grew in it,i was happy with the results) everything should be available and broken down by now.i'll find out.oh and i put some out......Yah, two more weeks and outdoors we go... whats everyone growing in and types of soil mixes?
I've been running obsession for a few seasons in the worcester hills. It's mold-resistant. Early-mid Oct finish though.thanks MaineODGB and thumper60... was looking for a mold resistant strain that finishes on the early side, and these seem to have those qualities. have a nice 1/2 acre secluded field that can't be seen from any angle once the tree foliage grows in.
I may have to do a SOBO hike, just to make sure I'm in Maine. Just got off the Florida Trail from two and a half days of hiking. I'm sore as hell. Right now I couldn't do mountains. Will have to work my way into it.I'd hook you up just before Katahdin. (Then send ya up the trail to Getawaymountain) Smoke, hot meal or some time off the trail in a real bed.
So you'd have plenty of resupply in Maine...
good luck pal, iam going to try to stay out of those boots as much as posiblelots of light depo going on here@thumper60 good for you. I am not done.

Thank you LarryLooking good Marco.
Defenitly not too late.Get those seeds cracked soon though!Few questions for you guys. Have an ak47 bush that's 13" tall and after some early issues it's packing on some foliage.. worth it to toss outside? Looks like end of October finish? Is that inviting in disaster?
Have some mold resistant seeds.. prolly too late to even bother.. or should I start a couple even if yields will be small?
May grab a bunch if autos and try those instead.
