First Grow

Thanks! Not doing clones this run, I picked easy to grow strains (NL and BB) since I've never done this before so I could get an idea of how this is going to go. (I also only have 1 tent so no place right now for a mother and clones) I may expand a bit as I get some experience under my belt.

ok, So I'm heading into the home stretch and noticed a little brown. I flushed right after these pictures thinking this is nute lock. Am I right?

They look great, very nice work.

Not sure I can weigh in much on the leaves browning. I am curious what your feeding schedule is though, are you making sure to water with regular water between feedings? Are you pH-ing all water/nutrient solutions given to the plants? Since you've already flushed, just keep an eye on new growth and bud development. The damage is done on the brown leaves, so don't worry about them too much. All the girls still look pretty happy.

Again, very nice work!

I over nuted them at the very beginning because I was following fox farms guide...huge mistake..But that's how we learn. Anyways, I backed way up and currently for flowering I am using 1/2 TSP Big Bloom and 1/2 TSP Tiger Bloom per gallon of water every time I water. I was feeding every three days, but they were getting droopy by the third day so I run every other day now and they stay nice and perky. I have not been watering without nutes, perhaps I should do every other with just water. (I have been PHing my water which is fine and also using Happy Frog soil and I haven't PH'd that since I started.

You absolutely want to be watering with plain water. Certain nutrient manufacturers will say to mix nutrients every time you water your plants, but that's so they can sell more product.

It's absolutely a learning curve, and that's half the fun. If you did a proper flush with upwards of 3 times as much water as your pots can hold (I.E. 5 gallon pot, 15 gallon flush), then you should be okay to let them dry out, and start up with light nutrients again. If you flushed with less than that, let the soil dry out, and water again with plain water before starting nutes again. :bigjoint:

However you choose to proceed, make sure you do a full water with plain water between every feeding.

Feed/water/feed/water/feed/water.

Yeah, it's definitely a learning experience, but totally fun, even with all my mistakes and ignorance, my girls are still doing ok!.
I didn't do a full 15 gallons, I would have to take them outside or something for that, I just watered them until it came out the bottom. I'll run more just water and then use just water every other and see how it goes.

thanks!

They really do look awesome! The rest of your environment seems to be on point. The only notable place for improvement seems to be the watering, and it sounds like you're on it. So long as the new growth looks happy, you're good to go.

The time will come when you'll want to flush. I think about a week or two before harvest is the best time, but don't quote me on that! You can always do a flush in the bathtub or shower as well, that's what I'm planning to do. I wouldn't want to have my plants outside where I live. But whatever works best for you!

I'll be keeping an eye on this one! :weed:
