FYI. I think I emailed Bonide that sells Capt Jack's Dead Bug Brew aka spinosad. They quickly responded and I think sad spinosad will not kill ladybugs.

Haha oh Canada, its a fucking lovely place but I have a hard time finding most gardening things especially at reasonable prices. I guess I should start calling all the Home Depot's, Lowes and WalMarts till I find one that stocks some.
Thanks for taking the time to call and ask about the safety of spinosad with ladybugs, that was really cool! Nice to know that I should be safe when I do get some, in case the ladybugs need some backup sometime. Before I had used some stuff called Bio Mist with good results, I just dont like spraying insecticide in my home, and I wont use it on flowering plants either since it smells like petroleum chemically badness. It does work well though, its a mixture of pyrethins and piperonyl butoxide.

Also check your local gardening supply places. MMJ people might want to make fun of middle age and older ladies growing roses - but a lot of them know more about fighting bugs than most stoners or MMJ grow stores.
I had talked to a guy looking for investors in a large commercial grow in Colorado They brought in some old southern good ole boys (what some people might call red necks) from northern Florida to run it. i asked why. He said they were farmers for a long time and had forgotten more than most MMJ farmers know about farming.
The owner and his partners were about to make a big big buy of MMJ teens to ramp up the grow faster/ They were just about to write the check. The good ole boys from Florida took a quick look, pulled the MMj guys aside and said walk away. The MMJ guys were slightly annoyed and said what is the problem. The good ole boys said - russet mites. The MMJ owner said they saved them hundreds of thousands alone just on that.
Spider mites are not that hard to see if you look hard enough. Russet mites are usually smaller and are pretty much impossible to get rid of. .

Hahah oh I frequent garden stores often, and I absolutely do not limit my growing to cannabis. Im right into gardening, have over 75 species of flowers, 35 fruit/vegetables, 10 vines, 4 succulents all started from seed for my garden this year 
You wont catch me making fun of any old ladie growing roses, rather Id be the one offering a helping hand and being made fun of lol.
It really is kinda frightening how many people dont make the connection between growing weed and anything else haha.
Im going to do some horticultural courses to help me open up job options doing what I love. I have quite a vision, and it will be loads of work but I havent a doubt it will be worth it.
funny story, gotta love how people who constantly profess their knowledge and experience of growing for years but they cant see fairly obvious things lmao. Happens so often, that people get to a level where they get mediocre stuff but its better than the schwag they got for years so they convince themselves they are gurus

Ha ha. So true. I saw some news video of an older couple in the USA who bought a setup that grows vegetables in pretty automated rigs inside shipping containers. They have about 5 and I think it cost them $150K. They got some farm loan from agriculture dept. They supposedly will make about $150k which is da*n good money. The video showed them processing lettuce and other veggies.
A 60s something couple working pretty hard processing the vegetables. Just the two of them.
In Colorado there are using shipping container MMJ growing rigs too. Who knew you could use updated technology to grow fresh and quality food for people and make more money than growing weed!

Hey Dr. I thought I had nute issues but had some scope the leaves and it was russets 3 to 4 weeks in flower. I hit em with Forbid yesterday and again today. I then started defloating lower and sick fan leaves. The plants look okay but growth is slow. I had some lower bud stalks that probably should have been defoliated - the ones that have to curve around to reach the light sagging.
The local place has predator mites too. I am worried with slowed growth they may be zombies. They may be recovering from stress and the two Forbid sprays. Any suggestions? Anything I can give the (lucky 13) plants to perk them up besides normal silca in drip? Thanks.

Here's my take on using bugs to kill other bugs...
No matter which predatory insect you may choose to control pests, you will still end up with remnants of both the pests and the predators by the time you get to harvest. It's not as if the predators will come in, kill all the pests and their eggs and then clean up before moving on. No. You will have bugs and eggs and carcasses of dead bugs and eggs on your plants. Yes, predators may save your plant's life from the pests, but you still have to deal with the cleanup....Or, just resign yourself to smoking a mixture of marijuana and insects. It won't kill you to do that and, in some instances, may be better than choosing to spray certain insecticides!
But, in my opinion, IF you want totally A1 quality, clean marijuana to smoke, then you have to have a super-clean environment to begin with and maintain it throughout the complete cycle from seed to harvest. This can really only be done indoors in laboratory-like conditions. I do believe that sunlight is the best light, but spectrums for grow lights are getting close to being as good as the sun.

If in veg use merit 75. This will get rid of all those bastards. Only veg you need time to flush it. I have never tested positive for it. I just use half dose. I also bake my soil before use. Literally 300 degrees for thirty minutes before planting. I let it cool and plant. With ra there is literally nothing organic that will kill them or keep them away. All bull shit. Only merit or forbid. They are all fucked to use though. Like i said only in veg. Other bugs like gnats can simply be controlled. I use watermelon rinds with honey. Just place on top of soil and they get stuck. Literally ive saved peoples harvest with this trick. All other bugs are controlled with simple environment

Merit is nasty shit. - Works on root aphids though. Not going to get in a pissing match about it's use. Other then to say, "I" won't use it.
Bake soil? What the fuck for? Microbe LIFT BMC is cheap and really effective for gnats. I like my soil alive and helping my grow. It will also self pH far better then sterile soil.....
You are right about predatory insects and Russet mites. They won't work.
You only need to lay down Forbid once, and then wait for 7 days. it's not a contact killer, so that next day follow up spray....Did nothing. You are simply doing a light spray on the top of the leaves.....it takes like 3 - 5 days to start to see a difference. Then, for Russets, hit them again in 7days.
Thing is, depending on how big the budding is. Kinda late in bloom for it. Along with it's half life. It won't hurt ya but, you most likely wouldn't be able to sell it to a disp. It could show up in testing.

Spinosad works best if your infestation isn't major. I had an indoor crop with mites that didn't seem to be phased by spinosad. I also tried some SNS209 and I could hear the little fuckers laughing at me. Even though I was late in flower, I went with a more powerful mite killer. It worked like a charm on mites but dried out the buds.
Everything went to hash and canna butter.

Well in reality it is Imidacloprid which is essentially a derivative of nicotine. Farmers have been using nicotine for hundreds of years. The reason this has become a major issue is because of bees. The reality however is that most grow indoors. Therefore, there is a small likely hood of coming in contact with bees. Further, Toxicity to humans would be if it were to be inhaled at a concentrate rate of around 17% to do the math thats around 500mg. The typical treatment of Merit 75 is a 1/2 tsp to 5 gallons of water. Or two grams. Coupled with watering and flushing you are talking about an extremely small amount that could be systemic. This is a joke. The fact is you inhale every day toxic gases walking down the street in the same way. Scare tactics and claimed organic are just that claims.

You say Merit is bad and then recommend Forbid. An acute Iv toxic substance versus Merit 75 which is Acute 1.
Forbid used incorrectly can also be phytotoxic to the plant I have seen people kill entire crops trying to kill a few flies
