And how long were you vegging the DE hps plants? Any difference in length of veg with the LED lamps for your desired yield?I was a hair over 2 per with hps's.

interestingSeeing that you are DIYing, try adding BLUE light to the bottom of your plants when it is cold.
The green light made by the shadows of leaves above shuts down stomata it falls on.
By exposing those lower leaves to blue light, they will transpire more, and flow more water and nutrients from the roots to where it is needed.
Warmer grow room temps. Mid 80s.the leds seem to get the veg going faster so more like 1 month rather then a month and change, but the main loss seems to be weeks 4-6, the swell just isn't there with the leds, but that might be because of deficiencies. However I am committed to the LEDs for at least another 3-4 months , hopefully I will get it sorted
This has nothing to do with it.interesting
Also, as I put in another thread my Hempstar might be just too old to take the shock of a different light spectrum. 20 year old plant and all
Room is 82 and the canopy is 83.5 most of the time. I use a laser T meter for leaf tempsWarmer grow room temps. Mid 80s.
LED lights do not emit nearly as much infrared, so you need higher temps to increase transpiration rates.Room is 82 and the canopy is 83.5 most of the time. I use a laser T meter for leaf temps
Low 90s, just like they'd be under HPS.I figured that 85 is the sweet spot so I was trying to error on the side of caution, what do you run your leaf temp at?
I used to run the hps leaf temp at 84-86 f the room temp was about 78fLow 90s, just like they'd be under HPS.
The difference is infrared.I used to run the hps leaf temp at 84-86 f the room temp was about 78f
Why not ?? I will accept this and give it a go . 92 leaf temp here we go.
At a certain point too much heat makes buds go fluffy and spread out. I wouldn't push past 85 without CO2 , really just not worth it.The difference is infrared.
Warmer plants produce more.
Did you put your hot pants on?Wow 90 F with 80% RH that feels a little different . I do have co2 so no worries there. After hanging out in the room for 20 minutes at these conditions I think I sweated out all my toxins. Who needs hot yoga with a room like this?
I run my room drier than that. Leaf temps aren't air temps.Wow 90 F with 80% RH that feels a little different . I do have co2 so no worries there. After hanging out in the room for 20 minutes at these conditions I think I sweated out all my toxins. Who needs hot yoga with a room like this?
Lol , somehow you know me. Yes I am wearing my hot pants.......Did you put your hot pants on?
Yes I got the room at 90 and the leaves at 92, no one seems upset about the 10+ degrees yet, I am in the room for another few hours so I am keeping a sideward eye on them. Since I bought a ultrasonic cloud maker I have been enjoying using the VPD chart. Great little unit a fuck ton of vapor and no moldy areasI run my room drier than that. Leaf temps aren't air temps.
The best humidifiers I've ever found are the plants themselves. If you have to add moisture to your room you're losing air somewhere.Lol , somehow you know me. Yes I am wearing my hot pants.......

Check out House of Hydro's stuff, great little units , yes the palnts will get you there but the foggers get you there right nowThe best humidifiers I've ever found are the plants themselves. If you have to add moisture to your room you're losing air somewhere.
