Scientific Marihuana Resources for Growing?

Hello!

I am wondering if anyone knows of articles or a place to find well-researched growing methods for cannabis cultivation? There are a lot of opinions online (anecdotal evidence), but I am looking for more objective resources.

Resources about marijuana cultivation would be greatly appreciated. Any research on optimal lighting for the plants (e.g. light spectrum, light type, hours of light per day, best light for flowering, best light for vegetative/clones etc.) would be especially appreciated! Also research on optimal soil type (e.g. coco, peat, pro-mix, etc.), nutrients, type of pot (plastic vs. fabric, depth of pot) etc.) would also be helpful.

I think you need to modify your searches to look for studies using hemp for cultivation related knowledge

EXACTLY the book I was going to send him too!.

Jorge did a shit ton of lighting experiments with cannabis, back in the day. Most of that is outdated a bit by new equipment....Unfortunately much of that info was shared with growers of the time by personal contact. UB was one of those. I read a bunch of it by passed around notes.....Some final opinions made books....

Many of us old timers have found things like the "Emerson effect" as being over rated. Like it's more to have the lower light bands in there too. The best way is to be as close to natural sunlight as you can. Spectrum delivered by the proper intensity is key.

That is a great book for the actual "science" of light use, among other things!

It's Mel Frank and Ed Rosenthal and the book has the same data everyone is coming up with today including uv and far red.

Just no led or cmh lighting yet when they wrote this.

It also has excellent info on how to set up gardens and even how to time perpetual grows.

Jorge's book is good too but he personally doesn't seem like a scientist or much of a grower to me. But he tours and knows amazing people and places. And his "bible" is a great resource.
