Sexing first time... Please help!

First, I wanna say thanks for all the information available here. It's been a lot to take in and I've already had hundreds of questions answered just by scouring the forums.
With your help I've made it this far!


OK so.. Is this a preflower?!
I can't get any better resolution at the moment. To my naked eye, it appears as though there's 2 tiny hair pistils coming out the tip, but I could just be overly hopeful.

You can see a little growth to the left of the stipule.

This seed came from a bag of bud that was loaded with seed. Obviously a Hermie plant.
So it's likely this will be a Hermie too..?
If I cut all the male parts off as soon as I notice them, will that reverse the genetics? Or will it still grow bud with seed regardless what I do?

That bag seed isn't necessarily from a hermie. The grower could have been late in picking out male plants and the females were pollinated.
From that pic I can't tell if male or female.

I have a magnifying lense coming this week so I'll be able to take a clear photo.

Its kinda young but that looks like the beginning of a pollen sack to me. I could be wrong as its kinda young.

It's bigger today and I was able to take a much clearer picture. Theres also two more smaller ones visible on other spots on the plant.

Is this view better for determining sex?

That looks a lot like my male did. I just moved him out of my room yesterday. I might be wrong, but I just sexed mine and that was the only 1 without hairs coming out of it.

Well that's disappointing, but I'm not gonna uproot it just yet.

This was my first planted seed, and I more or less was just experimenting. Trying what I was reading.

I was happy to get totally through the veg process on miracle grow dirt, using miracle grow slow release tomato/veg fertilizer, 4 1600 lumen cfls, in a brown cardboard box lol
From what I read this should be a train wreck.. But seems to have done fine.

I experienced mild symptoms of nute burn, heat stress, over watering, under watering, and physical bulb burn.
I was glad to see the effects and understand why it was happening. (much thanks to these forums!)

I LST the plant to one side of the pot, initially intending on growing around the perimeter of the pot before topping, but I dropped my flashlight on it and broke the apical stem about 4 node sets high.
I was GOING to FIM them, but I got impatient and wanted to get through the flower stage. Too eager to learn hands on lol

I'm also broke and trying to piece together a grow from scraps.. Not easy.

I germed 8 more seeds. 7 showed tap root. One I guess is a dud.
Hopefully I get at least one female from the 7....
