Time to fire the outdoor up for another season. Gonna be running Getaway's Poison Warp, R2-Poison and Island Afghani along with HSO Bluedream and Bubba Kush fems. Was going to have some GDP as well but none of them popped..freebies?
Will have Getaways stuff in my raised beds and a couple 45 gal no tills and the BD and BK in the GH with 100 gal pots. Got some cover crop seed down early this spring for most of the beds. I'll be top dressing with my compost and freshly chopped comfrey thru the season, Amending with basalt and glacier rock dust, MBP, neem seed meal, kelp meal, crab meal, fishbone meal, oyster shell flour, gypsum and a couple bags of bio char and EWC for the 100 gal pots.
All seeds broke ground on the 3rd, 4th of April..here they are 3 days later.4-7-17.jpeg
Transplanted them into 1 gal pots 1 week later..now at 12 days old they are growing rapidly._DSC2798.JPG _DSC2805.JPG _DSC2823.JPG

The Comfrey is coming on strong and will supply enough for a seasons mulching

I've seen this no till subject all over the forums, god knows I have pots in the bush from some previous years, why not just till in some amendments. Can you explain to me what the advantage of no till is? Gl this year I just popped a bunch of getaways stuff!
I'm probably jumping the gun on calling it a real no till, I actually work my amendments into the top 3 or 4" of soil and try not to disturb the lower soils so as to keep a natural process going. This technique is fairly new to me as well. It seems the more I learn to keep it simple the better my crops are. The true no till growers seem to have the most simple grows with good success. Gonna be fun running some Maine strains here in Oregon.

Not an expert on no-till, and have never really used it myself. But from what I have seen on PBS about no-till farming, each time you plow your fields, you kill most of the microbes in the soil. It's these microbes that make the trees grow tall in the woods without anyone having to toss out some triple 13.
Dry land wheat is one crop that is having real good success with no-till. They grow a cover crop, then just flatten it out and plant the wheat right through it. In some cases, a farmer can make as much without using ferts as his neighbors do with them. Saves on fuel cost, ferts, labor, wear and tear on equipment.

Here's the final 6 for my med grow, changed things up a bit. Put Getaways stuff in my raised beds and the BD and BK in the greenhouse. They're all 2 months today and I'm real happy with the progress. Training everything low and wide this year. After they spread out to where I want I'll build a sort of scrog fence over em. We'll see how this plan works out.
Just gonna have 2 in the GH this season, got way to crowded last year.

Looks like you are off to a great start!

I've done a few outdoor scrogs, works just as well as an indoor, pretty much with the same benefits and drawbacks.

I look forward to seeing how your GetawayMountain plants do, are your raised beds under any cover? I'm growing some OGS seeds this year, and while not the original plan, it looks like this summer they are going to be completely out in the elements through to finish. I guess I'm going to find out how mold resistant they are. Next year I'd like to run a couple of each (Getaway and OGS), see which does better 'going commando' in NW Oregon.

This summer reminds me of last summer, so far June has had more rain than is "normal". The periodic rain makes it a little harder to keep up with preventative spraying, hopefully the Neem oil will resist washing away and hold the BT on the leaves.

Got a question about growing HSO's Blue Dream any special needs? Mine is starting to show some leaf twisting and a bit of slower greening on the new growth. I listed my amendments at the top and don't feel I should be lacking much?? Pretty much .5 cup per cu ft on everything except the rock dusts, MBP and the bio-char. The Bubba Kush right next to it is showing no issues.

I'm having similar issues (more flipping over than twisting), it seems like some of my more Sativa dominant strains are effected. The one Indica dominant strain I have going looks more like your BK.

I don't really know the answer, but at this point I'm blaming all of my plant issues on too much rain and not enough sunlight. My plants seem like they are stretching, just not getting enough light. Looking at the 10-day forecast, it looks like summer might arrive on Saturday (edit: that might sound odd, unless you are from Oregon). I'm hoping that after a week of good strong 7+ hour per day direct sunlight (what most of my girls get), things start looking right again. This week we have another tree coming down, I might be able to up that to 8+ hours!

A bit of an update . All of Getaway's strains are taking very well to being sprawled out. Now they are shooting up thru the fencing and gaining height daily. If I hadn't spread em out they would be at the top of the fence by now. Don't want plants 3' over the fence like the last couple years. Gonna start crawling under there and do some thinning now.

In the GH I just screened the Bubba Kush and getting ready to do the Blue Dream20170702_074457.jpg 20170702_074519.jpg
Threw a couple AACT teas in the mix, other than that water only so far. Had an issue with the BD a while back with the twisted leaves. Finally figure out it was heat stress, didn't get back from springer fishing to till late one hot day and had forgot to pull the shade cloth out. Didn't even faze the BK, hope she's not a real fragile bitch.

Those look real good. Never heard of getaway seed co before but mold resistant strains would be great here in oregon.

Update on my oregon diesel plant- still flowering and starting to put out buds :( talk about an early finisher! I am guessing will be done by the end of this month! 6788.jpeg

Gonna try to get another one in the ground as soon as I harvest this one.
