Hey i hope you all have a lil buzz right now. Im about to drop some serious shit about CFL bulbs and why they've worked for me going on two years now.
!!!ONLY DURING VEG STAGE!!!!
Dont get that^^^twisted. Lol
Its really simple and i use the following just for my light source to ONE plant at a time...
:I have a set up of bulbs circling around the medium and two over its center:
Ten 23w CFL bulbs in total.
:One CFL bulb it self puts off 1625 Lumans and 6500 Kelvin:
(In simple words daylight bulbs~the blue light spectrum needed for veg.)
My set up is hung up and strapped in using bulb connections and multi socket adapte. The idea behind this is to keep my bulbs 3 inches away the entire plants life In the veg state. This method contains more time attending to your plants literally on a daily basis due to major LST love after one topping/fimming.
Either method works but top once early is recommended for better air flow throught the plant.
This personally has worked for me for both indica and sativa strains. I've come up with nothing less of 4 ounces per plant.
***!!!Only during veg. do i use CFL!!!***
Once youve grown a plant using LST techniques into a shape of a star that gets spread outward with length and later weight.
Without letting the plant grow up into the CFL bulbs you LST her to spread outward to the edges of your pot.
This method has proven to give me stalks that are half dollar in thickness but only about 5 inches tall. A 5 inch tall stalk to the topping preformed early on. With arms shooting off thick enough to hold any weight damn near. That weight being your buds.
***!!!Once ready to veg you need to use a 400w hps bulb AND RAISE ACACCORDINGLY FOR A 400w BULB!!!*** 600w is my future test
Once youre into flowering all those bud spots you reach out to the pot will have formed strength into that position, but its time to let the slowly stretch upward and take advantage of its new light source.
If you get one big fan and to small fans for one plant under one 400w buld, lol heat stress will never be a factor even with and old bulb that puts off more heat than light intensity.
Light intensity is what these grows are all about if youre gonna use CFL bulbs for veg. Its whole life has very little heat but intense lighting.
My first case of light burn showed up only when i wasn't catching how intense a new HPS bulb was. Lol
Other than that everything else stays basic. No scrog is needed because of its short strength. As buds form the arms drop outward and away from each other. Its a beautiful thing.
Id be happy to explain more if anyone is more interested.
