Ditched a plant today. One of the AK47 regs was growing balls. Not great result, but still glad they are showing their sex. I suspect there are already 2 other males too. Only got 8 anyway. I'm sure some females will start showing soon.

Slight bit of light bleaching on one of the Dinafem Moby Dick xxl. It's 3 inches from the led and showed no problems 6 inches away, so I'm learning stuff about the cobs. I'll get the filter in there later, then raise them cobs. It should be ok then.

Just so busy doing feeds that I can't find the time to install the filters. Been helping a buddy out with growing too. That took half the night, but it's looking great. He's got auto's jarred up. Brothers Grimm Cinderella plants on 2 weeks of 12/12. Plus we also planted 4 Cinderella clones into 12 litre square pots and got them under a 400w metal halide. Getting them ready for flipping the same day the others are chopped. It's fun teaching him, to grow (: It's going f*cking well in the flowering tent there :-D

I'm sending my new led back. It is the Amare solarspec 150. It's supposed to be new, bit has dirt and dust all inside the panel. Plus it's killing my plants, fast! To show you this I will take a picture in a bit, you can look back a week and see when I plugged it in, then see the damage to my plants. Luckily I took a photo the day I installed that led.

Nice that I can send it back. Somebody else had the same problem...

Not saying anything about their new models, but this is currently sold on their website. What a pile of sh*t! Worse than cheap Chinese led, least they don't kill the plants! Leaf surface peeling off, leaves curling up. Led was a metre away.

I had 1 option to replace it with, 400w 400v dual spec hps.

Thank f*ck I can get all of my money back, or I'd be well pissed off!

Amare 150 solar spec 150 review.

Please , I invite you to click on page 17 (edited page 18, not 17) of my journal (6 days ago) it's at the top of page 18. Please examine my plants
and look at the difference...

Here they are now. Taken photo's of the severe magnesium defs, curling leaves, patches on leaves, holes on leaves, missing parts of leaves.

It's hard to believe but all they have had in the last 6 days is 1 plain water feed at ph 6.3. So magnesium shouldn't be locked out, plus the plants were Not burning up 6 days ago.

So my brief time using Amare led is thankfully to a close.

Maybe Amare is short for A Nightmare! I'm serious! Look at my firkin plants! Nothing at all wrong 6 days ago...

No heat stress either as it's a 3ft x 3ft area with a 150w led.

Any, F*ck the electric, I'll pay more, until I get another led!

Here is the set up. 4 x Brothers Grimm Cinderella's in the corners vegging. Nice and healthy, bit stretched as he light spread is piss poor on the Amare. Killed the plants below, not enough light in the corners. At 3-4ft away a 150w led should be able to veg a 3ft x 3ft tent. I'm sure many experienced leds growers would agree. Nice amount of light for clones being potted up into massive pots.

400w lumatek

The plant in the middle suffered, that's Delicious Candy ( photoperiod )

Other 4 auto's in orange pots are Barney's Farm Tangie on day 26 from seed, been a disaster for them from go, no room for them, shouldn't have planted them, maybe this 400w lamp will get them going. I should pot them up into bigger pots, but I ain't.

Here is that set up with the vertical 400w lamp.

I have a closed end reflector otw - large supernova

Anyway, remember the big Pineapple Express Auto on day 44 from seed

Well, here she is in her new home lol

250w vertical hps, mini grostar, 90w Budmaster xg led

Water twice, but no nutes. I don't overspray water either, my plants grow much faster when I spray them every couple of days.
Yeah its very strange, reason I asked was just because those areas would be where water would be held most due to the shape and praying. Just wondering if the light was bleaching those parts because of the spraying. Even though bleaching tends to be tips first not the other way around.
It really does look like an iron def though, I wonder if they are growing so fast the iron has not been able to be transported quick enough or due to water only a lack of iron present. But if your using tap there should be Fe in there anyway.
Really weird though. You wouldn't think 150w at that distance could do that.
What's with the dust inside the unit too? That's not a good sign for a supposed new unit.

I spray all the plants everyday pretty much, until they are in flowering. I have used leds with secondary lenses before. I'm experienced growing with led, more than I am with any other form of lighting.

Even the Budmasters have models which are 90 degree lenses, with secondary lenses, too close they will bleach the shit out of plants (in flowering) Nothing wrong in veg, but this Amare led really is something else. Sponsor at this forum or Not, the pics tell the truth.

All my plants have been growing fast. They are in bio bizz soil so have 4-6 weeks food in. It's the soil I always use. The only thing that I changed was the led. I will do nothing to them other than plain water at 6.3 and bet my bollocks they recover in 3-4 days.

That takes light stress to a new level.

All my plants are growing fast and have grown more that these plants in 6 days. They don't need extra iron. The other leds are far closer to the canopy, plus I'm spraying them with zero ill affect.

ive been winging mate haha! its all goin alright tho (:

So far the QB seem to do well man - you'd be able to throw em together too and for the price you cant argue with em really! Weird bout the amare of yours...best stick to what works for you though eh...and if sending it back's easy then no fuss is no stress man (:

I have had a similar problem with my cheap chinese panels - Plants were stunted with really fucked up leaves - holes in them, bits dropping off, rust marks, the lot. Wondering if I should ditch 'em and use HPS......or does anyone know of a cheap led that works? Can't afford to get the QB's atm but need some solution. Lost about 8 plants now to led's.....

Like many shit leds they have a story, or have been around. Another village bike led here I reckon. It will get sold every month for the next 5 years to some unsuspecting mug. Some dude won this led in a competition, they didn't even want it for free, says it all...:(

It's just weird. I can grow very well with led, so it took me by surprise... I just needed something for a veg tent, it was cheap. Cree. Took a chance. You know...:dunce: I still ain't learned the crack! Buy cheap, buy twice :dunce:

Those moby dicks live up to the name lol holy shit
Yes they are very good for auto's it seems. 1st time I've grown it. I need to do these again in a 2m high tent 3 rows of 3.

Ok, so I have been thinking, what can I do to better my grow?

I have been in contact with Budmaster about new cobs. Get the hid lamps unplugged and put away again fast.

These 300w cobs that I'm using in the 3ft tents, with the 6 cobs each. But I don't want the same. I want 2 custom panels.

Each 6 cob panel - I want half Osram cobs (3 cobs) turns on with 1 button - half Citizen horticultural cobs (3 cobs) turn on with other button.

Imagine the spectrum of these cobs together. The Osram cobs are doing amazing as it is. Look at this...

My gut feeling is telling me to invest further. Put it this way too, we have had crap weather here in the UK too. If it gets hot now, my place will be too hot Running the 250w hps + 400w hps. I can veg my ak47's + C'99 ladies with 150w osram cobs, instead of 400w hid lighting. Also put the other new (full power) led above that single pineapple Express.

I always follow my instinct. My instinct reckons this is the way to go
