Buy a roleadro led/cob it will do you justice in a 2 x 2 I think my cost 69 and on my first grow with it and I am impressed in quality not yield based off what I pull from the 600 but it's nice to see my babies put the frost on

Then go get something else after you get the old lady stoned off her ass. My old ladies runs that tent and she loves it low heat less waters even with air pots and frosty nugs

Cfls for veg. <<<$10/$20 monthly 16-24 hrs
$85 horticlux 400w hps to flower. (Needs ballast) <<<about $60 a month on 12 hours

It wouldnt be a proper set up, but theres 150 well spent on lights that will grow a plant without all the other essentials.

Ask her for a bigger budget lol

Hey CobKits,

I can build my own stuff. I know how to solder, tap, etc etc...

I just need the gutz to what I'm gonna build.

If I'm buying from you, just parts that you have in stock.

2x:
CLU048-1212 90CRI GEN5
133MM Passive Pin fin heatsink
BJB holder
Angelina reflector

+ 1 meanwell driver. (haven't figured out which driver would allow me to run the 2 in series)

I got a few potentiometers kicking around the shop here, and I could always salvage from some scrap electronics.

This would come under my $150 no? It would also give a bigger bang than a single CLU058?

check out the ~$40 luminus preassembled light engines. only a few bucks over the parts themselves and youre up and running quicker. 3 of those and a driver is under 200 and covers 6+ sq ft so room to grow

The DIY cob setup is the way to go! None of that cheap chinese bullshit or obsolete hid light that no buying bulbs, having to run ac, and youll be able to veg/flower with the same light! Plus theyre fun to build. I thought so anyway. I want to do builds just for the sake of the build! Good luck!

Consider growing an indica dominant. They seem to be able to come closer to their genetic capacity in lower light intensity situations than a sativa dominant.

If you look around you could probably find a decent 600 watt hps for $150.

It sounds like you're all set as far as what you've decided you need for lights considering ventilation/limited space so with that said, I would definitely rethink your decision to grow White Widow. It has its place in cannabis history but its become stagnant and boring among the genetics available today and will probably leave you and the wife underwhelmed.
Never go by those gushy pretentious descriptions put forth by seedbanks. For the most part, its a sales pitch. You're best bet is to look around here. Check the seed & strain reviews from folks like yourself looking to do nothing more than grow good medicine. You'll find honest, more well-rounded reviews.

I have a few other strains on the way too but I bough a small pack of widow to learn from...

Once I got 3-4 single plant grows I got a few interesting strains to try.

Lots of websites (Not just bank sites) said widows were fairly resilient.

Depends on how much light you need. Cobkits has instructed on a setup in this thread for less than 150$, i paid 220$ for each of my kits and have plans for a setup that will cost about 500$. Grow mau5 has builds he has done entering the thousands. Its diy so you are buying components that you either put in a pre built enclosure or construct another means of putting it all together.

I have been looking around and I could get an mh/hps 600w with 50/75/100% ballast for $100 to the door.

I have been really looking at LED because of me not wanting to worry about heat.

If I was scrubbing just enough for the sealed room and my ambient temp outside the sealed room is approximately 17C

Would I need to vent more?
