Noob question about starting now

Okay so my first plants got eaten by either deer or chickens. Can I start white widow and AK47 now and still get a decent crop? I know that it won't reach it's full potential. Just wondering if it is a waste of time and effort.

If you start em now, a photoperiod seed would get about as big as an auto flower. Still worth while.

Where you live? If your anywhere near the Midwest you still have time but I would dog dig a hole and fill with some good loose soil so roots can get established. I would use a root stimulator too to speed vegging process. Need to rapid veg to have enough plant to hold buds.

Thanks! I appreciate the info. Btw I'm around the Kentucky Tennessee border. Nashville is the closest city people would recognize.

The plants will be in huge containers, over 25 gallons. Half barrels, pretty much.

Root stimulator? Like Root Tone? Isn't that for rooting plants?

I guess I should add, that the soil is a mixture of Kellogg's organic soil, sand and composted horse manure.

Those huge containers should do you right.

I'm still planting. But I'm going late just so my veg won't be as long. I have so many strains I need to taste, that I'm going to try to keep them reasonable small. My "big" pots this season are 15's.

I didn't plant my 3" tall clones last year till July 6th. I'm disabked and I had to totaly work a area in my yard by myself. I used no supersoil...no fox farm soil. Just some promix and a 10 doller bag of a dusty organic nutrients that I topdressed and put with a hand full of worm caseings in the bottom of the holes. I live in southern lower michigan. My plants were between 6and 8' high planted directly in the ground. I top dressed 2x and then used a fruit and flower fox farm mix from my grow store to flower and top dressed with that. I had u plants and had to keep under my privacy fence with Laddace I put up to get a little more hight. I still ended up with LST ing my plants to be 100" x 100" square and yielded 8-10 oz per on my 1st outdoor organic grow ever! I had strawberry diesel, chaos, cherry pie, northern lights, Venus fly trap and others. U can still get a great yield! Happy growing and good luck!!!!!

I'd be trying to find some decent-sized clones
I just put some 3" clones in the ground yesterday...u will be in good shape friend if u get them in he ground in the next week. Nothing to panic about. U should have no problem getting 8oz per if u put some worm casings in the bottom of hole and using compost tea at transplant after u give it a good water....will take the normal week or slow of shock and let them start growimg immediately. I use tea brewed at my local grow store. Pour on at full strength on root ball area. And get a inch of growth the 2nd day after putting in ground

That's tough to answer because it varies garden to garden. What burns your plants may not burn his or vice versa. Generally less is more, as long as you don't see any deficiencies I'd say you're fine.

I also use a michigan organics blend of dry organic grow mix it's 5-5-3. I top dress a cup of the mix on the area I dug around the plants. And evenly apply a descent hand feed...like u were putting down grass seed...on the rest of the area in my garden area. That way when I water it works down and as the roots spread out, the food is down in the earth and has been already prepared to be taken up by the roots. So it makes for a free feed zone over the entire 14 x 14 area. Basically like one big pot. I then read apply more organic mix in 3-4 wweks.

I just cut 12 clones off of mom today that are destined to go outside, probably wont see the sun for atleast 10 days. Im not worried about the time at all. Just yesterday was summer solstice, plenty of time to grow. I only plan to top the plants once though

I know a lot of people that are just now planting and will still easily pull a lb a plant. Like a lot of people already mentioned it's jus all going to be the soil and how much sun they can get that will determine how well they do.
