1st Time Flowering help?

Hey everyone this is my first year growing here in northern california indoors and I might be missing a little more info of the flowering process indoors. I know you need to flip the lights from 18-6 to 12-12 when your ready to flower, but is there anything else that could slow the process or even stop it all together? I have 6 amazing Sour Jack ladies in 7 gallon pots under a 1000w hps light, in a 5x5x8 room. Im in week 3 of flower and I remembered someone saying something about being able to see most plants prebudding around this time. Anyways thank you guys in advance anything helps.

Most strains have a flower of white hairs about half an inch across at 21 days - some strains are slower or have less of the white hairs...
I'm at week 14 of 15... It takes a while if you're going for couch lock... Harvesting too soon can be disastrous if you decide it's not strong enough for your liking- once chopped down there's no going back. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info, I just thought that I would see the start of buds forming by week 3 of flower I guess I just need to wait some more

When did they first sprout? If they are not mature yet they won't flower even if lights flipped. They mature around week 6 of veg..
Also, check for light leaks and lights inside your grow space such as little lights on your power strip etc...

Sooner or later they will flower. If they're still not flowering at like 8 weeks from seed then you can shut off lights for a full 24 hour period then begin 12/12 again... This sort of resets their internal clock.
