Hi everyone !
I'm growing Blue Dream in DWC under 600Watts HPS/MH . I'm in the end of week 8 of a 9 weeks flowering time according to Humboldt Seed Org . I'm looking at my buds ,and the pistils are all white .... Can I go and start flushing anyway or do I wait for some pistils to change color ?
Flushing is suppose to start next sunday .

Thank you for helping me !

Have you look at your trichomes under a strong magnifying glass/small hand microscope? Are they turning milky?

They are pretty much all clear still .
The 9 weeks on the seed packets are normally just a recommendation and different pheno's behave differently. I would probably wait a few days till I started to see more cloudy/milky trichomes but some close up shots would give us a better idea

I doubt if your pistols are still white it's ready to pull, got a pic? But there is more to consider than pistils. Check out thread "is it done yet" I think lol.

the resulting low water pressure would have grave effects on the public water system,, leading to systemic failures all over the city,, at which time Batman would need to be called
I dont think even batman could cope the resulting amounts of turd spewing up on the street.

Moral of that idea.... DONT FLUSH!!

Think we've successfully trolled this one

the bottles always show the feeding chart right?
they all taper the nutrient ppm's to finish.
follow directions I'd say
at the end of a properly grown/fed mj plant no flushing will be needed(or curing ime)

but,, what if we dont use bottled nutes,,, hum,, many of us use no till soil,, teaming with microbes,,, and use water only the whole ride,, what do we do then?,,,

ps, i would never use crappy bottled nutes,, those are for flushing down the toilet too,, hahha

I'm guessing op using bottles btw he says "flushing supposed to start".

I use composted chicken shit and pro mix and water too in flower for my best exp, I just dont add chicken shit in their last couple weeks. my run off changes ppm only slightly towards finish, but my leaves show less sugars at finish this way. ideal for me, except when I grow/fertilize/harvest cherries/grapes. when I pack the bucket with ferts my leaves get very pretty (awesome for pictures though)and at finish, dried they taste like earthworms/dirt/ferts without a long jar cure, otherwise awesome a few weeks of controlled drying. In hydro if I didnt follow directions and did feed to end my flowers smelled like a frikken golf course grow op, all lawn spray nitrogen'd like, so I followed the directions for the win.

I've gone all out with organic fertilizers, only to come back full circle. I discovered the beauty with organicare composts chix shit and then went nutz. I bought a dozen commercial worm bins with 10 trays each. I filled them with hundreds of thousands of red wigglers and promix and some paper and dried marijuana trim scraps. They performed like stars every day after charged I changed trays from bottom to top and fed weekly on the top tray. The food was black gold real quick it was a blast. the results were too hot for seedlings or new root clones but needed nothing but water in veg, transplant, nothing but water. the frikken work was over the top for me, labor intensive, seemed like I had to make a choice between raising worms and growing marijuana
not to mention the indoor space the worms demanded for processing. awesome till crippled and weaker, so

I raised 100 or so meat rabbits twice 2 years and parents ate only our cut grass from outdoors and indoors too. This was easier but had to murder near weekly, didnt like that much. but I harvested those bunnies only a couple days off the teet, cleaned them out with
fresh herbs like clockwork and culled. What a cheap source of super fine RTU fertilizer every day! Not to mention scrumptious little internally marinated rabbits on the plate whenever we wanted. they cook in the pressure cooker in minutes.

I got to feeling poopy about dealing with so much poop +fresh bugged me so I went back to my original organicare a few years ago.
no more composting chicken poop, raising rabbits, worms for me. I'm still working with the same soil builds recycled from those days and just saw a worm in a plant pot last month surprisingly. most have been recycled into the outdoor orchard/gardens by now.
