Drying questions

I have a plant coming due for harvest in the next 2 weeks. I have heard and read that the drying room should be dry and dark with constant air circulation. Beyond ensuring those conditions is there anything else I need?
How long do I allow her branches to hang to dry? I have read threads here that utilize brown paper bags in the drying process. How do brown paper bags facilitate drying? Is there a supply list for drying? Does every plant require the same universal drying time or do outside factors like time of year and strain affect the drying time?,In other words should I be handling buds to judge dryness based on thier appearance and feel? or is the science truly as simple as "x number of days". Thx in advance.

When the stems snap and dont bend, it's time to start the curing process and take them down trim them up and place into bags/jars etc. then every day open and 'burp' the jars/bags leaving them open for a while letting them breath and move the buds around in the bags/jar so no stagnant dead spots for mold to grow. Then seal it up again and repeat. Burp and let breath, they'll feel slightly soft and moist fresh again when you first open it up, then leave open until feels dry/crispy to the touch, then seal up again, you continue doing this until when you open it up and feel the buds and the buds no longer take on any moist fresh feeling and hold that dry solid cured bud feel. Then it can be sealed for good. I know I didn't write this so well, but this is the way.

Believe it or not,ANYTIME a question could be answered "two weeks" after the original Total Recall came out I would answer in his/her voice! For the longest time people that had never seen the movie thought I was mentally impaired or some type of weirdo. #CLASSIC

The paper bag method is pretty solid. The bags wick away moisture and keep them from molding. Now I trim and toss them right in and simply shake the bag every day then after a week or two check and jar with boveda packs if ready. Plenty of stuff out there on all methods of drying I simply prefer this one.
