So its a hempy, 2.5 gal and was just topped this week after 6th node. Only under a 42 watt cfl at the moment and been giving 7 grams of maxibloom to gallon of water. 1 feeding a week at the moment. The 2 fan leaves show gold and 2 new growth spurts from topping look fluffy which i thought was heat? Don't mind top layer of perlite being green, it's all white under and am getting stones to cover it up. Just wondering if the nutes are too strong of light was too close along with heat. Cfl was 3" away and now about 5" till i figure it out. Thank you for the help.

No thanks. Ill wait for a more well known or experienced member to offer their opinoins. Do appriciate the good luck though.

Understandable. My opinion is not from heat. Definitely nute burn. Too much stagnant water causing algae. But if you intend to smoke your own start over. But I agree with you to get other opinions as well!

The satgnant water dosent seem to fit as with hempy new water is added and taken up. I do believe watering more than 1 time a week is not necessary yet as she is so small.

I water daily in 50/50 coco perlite in cloth bags even from babies. Using flood drain hydro. You suggested the perlite is turning green ? That would be algae. Lights+water. Sorry if I've misunderstood. You've provided 1 small picture and it's hard to tell your watering regime and type of grow bag/pot. 2.5 gal pot is too big for that plant. Again maybe I am confused... feel free to provide more info and pics just trying to help bro.

Don't take it that way, i clearly am teying to learn what i need. You suggested throwing it away which wont help me learn anything. Se isnt yellow or brown so she is not so bad she can't be fixed. Yes the top layer of perlite is green due to the light. If i brush the top layer as in 1/8" it is white. That is not an issue in my opinion. If it was all green that would be a problem no doubt. I realized i should have started her smaller and will do so next time. I went straight from seed into 2.5 gal. and she took 4-6 weeks to really start growing. I just topped her above 3rd node on friday after she had 6. I use a 2 liter pop bottle to water and use the whole thing to get runoff. I water in 1 spot and let it go down till she starts letting water out. If im right 3.89 liters is a gallon so 7 grams to 1 gallon was Lucas using only powdered bloom. That means 3.5 or slightly less for the 2 liter and ive only been using around 2 grams at the most so far to not over feed. I am at work so more pics i cant do now. Not sure how another pic would help but maybe from the side? That is about what i can add to this point. If you click and enlarge you should be able to see the gold on the edges of fans and ruffles/wavy growth tips which made me think heat.

Cfls hardly produce heat. I wanted a better pic of your hempy set up and drainage system and light set up.

Sorry if I come across as rude as I personally live in a place where marijuana is legal to grow and would just start over. I sometimes forget that's not true for everyone.

Yep mate, start over.
apart from a very dilute bloom nute mix before planting seeds, don't feed them anything stronger than aquarium water until they have a pair of leaves, not cotyledons. At first, the root is small, but if you just water it when you start, you can leave it for a week.to dry out. yes, it should lighten the pot, but should not go bone dry. I am running a test on 2 seedlings planted and not watered after, they are still alive 3 weeks later. If you allow it to dry out a bit at the start, the roots will go look for water and food. At first focus only on growing awesome roots. Great roots have even greater plants attached.

I run my 23W spiral CFLs maybe an inch away from the plants.

My "setup" is a 2.5 gallon bucket with a 5/7" hole at the 2" mark. Nothing at all more. A hempy buckt plain and simple.

They did not get any nutes till a set of leaves AFTER the ccotyeldons has grown. I appriciate the advise but still will not throw out a plant that i might just have the same problems with on a new one a month from now. Thank you for the reply and the search continues.

Dig soil up from your yard. Add perlite. Grow under florescent bulbs. Add no nutes. For 1 grow cycle. It will only make you learn better. Only water when the plant starts to wilt.

It's a weed. Hard to kill and easy to grow. You need light, water, air, soil.

You're trying a ghetto hydroponic set up which I would only recommend for advanced growers.

If you think in 3 months when you you harvest, the algae is just going to magically disappear, you're wrong.

This is tough love. START OVER.

But since you don't want advice, looks great man, keep it up!

Thank you. Appriciate the feedback. Hempy bucket is not ghetto. Its just not your way. Ive seen much worse plants get brought back to health and if i rhrow away EVERY plant that has a problem i will never learn. I don't think that you can offer me anything else, which is ok. Im sure im not the first person with leave problems that i have developed so im certian ill get someone that knows from experiance what my issue is and how i can fix and avoid doing it in the future.

You say you topped at 6th node. Maybe im missing something but that plant doesnt look like it has 3 nodes.

It was and is way to young for nutes.

I would flush it good then just use water for 2 weeks maybe 3 before trying to feed again.

A side shot would help.

But for a beginner at this stage, based on the single picture provided, do you think it will be smoke able or should he start over?

What soil you are using?
You said: giving 7 grams of maxibloom to gallon of water. 1 feeding a week at the moment.
It should not have been fed the maxibloom.
You watered once a week. Did you use maxibloom each time you watered?
Anyway, maxibloom is not a fertilizer to use on a vegging plant. She would probably have been fine if you used water only to this point.

If it was me I would keep it going.
I would also start another if possible.

If he had 5-10 grows under his belt i would say toss it.
Its a good chance to learn. If he fixes it the new growth wont be affected.

The algea on top should be removed. I believe its caused from underwatering, but with a pot that big for that size plant its hard to water it more without overwatering it.
The roots need time to fill out the pot.

If he was to start another i would suggest a smaller pot at first then up pot it.

When i started growing my first plant or 2 died. I was making the same mistakes he is. Over ferted and at points either over or under watered.
Now 3 yrs later ive learned to be patient and let the plant do its thing. Nutes when its a month or so old, i run 400watt hps so my growths a bit faster then cfl so if your doing cfl you might need more then a month for ferts. I start in a red solo cup and work my way up to 5 gallon buckets with holes in the bottom sides for drainage. I usually water every other day.
This is my current scrog. Its 1 plant.

Waited till 6 nodes and topped at the 3rd.
