Damn your talkin about my greatest enemy there(root rot)! i use strong mycorrhizal formula mix with every watering now yet sometimes even then it gets some victims...Well damn my eyes!!! Got home this evening after a days absence and my garden was in bad shape. Plants were droopy and checked my roots and damn if I don't have a case of root rot.
I rinsed the roots off, removed the worst spots, and put them in soil. Hopefully they pull through. I gave them some hydroguard, root drench, a tablespoon of peroxide, and a little Emerald Harvest micro.
Thanks for stopping in my friend. I switched to the tote because the pants uptake was almost emptying the coffee cans every day and I knew that I was going to be gone. Looks like it didn't work out the way I planned. I'm thinking about running a couple of plants in coco next time around.Damn your talkin about my greatest enemy there(root rot)! i use strong mycorrhizal formula mix with every watering now yet sometimes even then it gets some victims...
i like the idea of anything grows! just throw in everything and see what happens, what else have you got in mind up next in the grow room?
cheers bro, amazing how when you think they will be ok then they get sick it sparks us back to realizing its 'always' a fine balance between health & disease...& each day we go & look at them thriving is a blessing cos ol demon illness can/will creep up every now & then to keep us on our toesThanks for stopping in my friend. good news! does that peroxide act like an antibiotic in that it kills all fungi? will it kill beneficials too?I just checked in on the garden and they don't seem any worse. They actually look like they have perked up. I may have caught the root rot in time and will continue to give them some root drench and a little peroxide for another couple days.
ok, maybe if you can purchase a cost effective complete mycorrhizal formula and apply with each watering it may help? thats what i 'have' to do cos that disease syndrome here is very entrenchedIt sure does my friend and I know it's not good for the plants but that's why I've been giving them the root drench. I just hope they pull through. Thanks for stopping in.
I just bought some online and it should be here in a few days. Thanks for the advice my friend. Here's what I bought. cheers, looks like good gear, if your grow is large & requires a lot of mycorrhizal treatment you may be able to shop around & buy it in another form in industrial quantities, for a much cheaper price to, there can be a massive price difference when comparing different vendors for this type of treatment.I just bought some online and it should be here in a few days. First time I have every had this problem but it was my first hydro grow also. I had three air pumps and stones in the reservoir. Treating them with every watering/feeding sounds like sound advice. You know the old saying an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.cheers, looks like good gear, if your grow is large & requires a lot of mycorrhizal treatment you may be able to shop around & buy it in another form in industrial quantities, for a much cheaper price to, there can be a massive price difference when comparing different vendors for this type of treatment.
my disease situation here is if i miss 2 waterings without the mycorr treatment plants will succumb...yes its that bad, so its used with every watering
looking plenty healthy there man, im flipping my outdoors today too by withdrawing the supplemented lightLooked like the garden was doing better so I gave it the flip yesterday. Smoke jars are empty.View attachment 3974233

absolutely, a plant in veg can look nice, but a fully budded plant near/ready for chop is much nicer! That's the part we all look forward to.
