I need Help with 100 amp into 200 amp service!

Depends on the wire coming into the building and the transformer on the pole. A decent electrician can tell. The electric company may have to upgrade the cable. Worse case they may have to upgrade the transformer on the pole. Usually they will do it for free but not always

If they do not have to, an electrician can just replace the panel with a new 200 amp or possibly just add another 100 amp box to the one you have now.

This is not a DIY deal either, . Hire a licensed electrician.

I don't think DIy is an option anyway, our power company won't allow an unlicensed person to install a new panel.

damn cali prices,

3k for the install and parts
250 for permits and inspections

the only thing i can not do is cut the main wires from the pole to my house :'(
but regardless id save like $500 not worth it

$250 is bad but it is Cali and Cali is a rip off. $250 is not great but not horrible.
Did you get more than one quote on $3k? Try Juan. He is an electrcian from Tijuana.
