Big Budz no smell

hi growers :)

Im at 5 week of flowering, the plant is pretty tall and bushy,
the budz are now big and fat and you can see some orange hairs(not much).
I'm worried that the plant till now hasn't produced no resin and no smell.
tried to rub the leaves or stem but nothing still no smell

just give her a lil flush (6 L of ice cold water instead 2.5L)

specs:
11L soil
Auto Anestehsia
Feed: Adv. Nutrients or Water

Please help me to save her :/

Temps? I had a round get hot before I installed a/c... no matter how I cured it, it smelled like hay, it was not sticky like my previous rounds. Effects where kinda there, you could get some decent effects but it was short lived.....

I don't think I'd ever put ice cold water on my girls....

heyy thanks for a fast reply :)
well the Ice cold water was a redneck trick :P will see if it works
my temps are normal condition 28 - 29 °C / hot condictions: 30 -32°C

some Rhino Skin in last week will help? or how can I fix it?
the second time I have this problem with this strain, I've noticed when I grow tall a big not much resin production,
when I grow short and compact they are sticky AF, what I'm doing wrong???

Are you using any bloom boosters like Big Bud? The same strain should be just as sticky big or small and at 5 weeks should have lots of sugar on the buds. Too late for BB now really but a good dose wouldn't hurt if they've had nothing. Even some epsom salts to get some extra sulfur to the buds should boost resin production.

Cold water will just shock the plant and isn't going to do shit to help it out. Another urban grower myth. Might as well drive a nail into the main stem to see if that works too. I won't. ;)

Silica which is what rhino skin is can help a plant be stronger and beefier but I know nothing of it adding to aroma. The stronger plant w silica may handle heat stress better than one without, but that's as a plant as a whole not necessarily quality of smoke issue...

if it doesnt smell by now it may have failed=over/under fed/ph whacked/ temps, fresh air, humidity, could be many reasons, but they all are your fault right lol

Those are high temps for good smell...can u cool it? Hope to help it a bit but prob never reach its potential..

Plants will smell a bit more in hotter rooms then cooler. Running in summer I use 2 Scrubbers to keep the smell under control. Winter I only need 1 Scrubber. If your plants are healthy the genetics is most likely the cause for lack of aroma and tric production. There are plenty of genetics that dont have a strong smell in flower. Auto's use ruderalis these do not have high THC content. Depending on the pheno it can be good or hay

Hello my Old Frend :)
Yes I did, as Base Nutes I've used Sensi Bloom A+B / B-52 / Big Bud / Overdrive / Bud Candy...last week I added some Cal Mag Extra to my Feed (2 times in total ).
Now I finished to use BB and started to feed with Sensi Bloom A+B / Overdrive / B-52 / Bud Candy .. In some Feeds I used only Water + Bud Candy / Overdrive.

well I had a choise to made, ice cold water or a nail into the main stem :roll::shock:

Rhino Skin is a Potassium Silicate Trichome Enhancer, but have some doubts that it will make magic in one week or two...

I've just installed a intake fan to put more fresh air inside, but can't go under under 28°C and 55 / 60 RH TBH never had so many problems for 2 degrees...

they dont smell at all..hot/cold rooms no difference...is there a hope that aroma will be stronger when she's ready ? Should I just wait?

I agree with haze to a degree, low low temp will make smell seem lower, tho i find it comes back w vegence in cure. Warm temps you can smell em good but hot rolls right back to low smell...

I run upper 70s F as a high but go down to low 70s F as high towards end of flower..

But genetics are prob a bigger factor than temp but didnt u say they were smelly before...

Tbh allways had a bit high temps not over 29/30..think is not a drama..

Is not the first time thant im growing this strain(Auto Anesthesia)
The first lady was big and tall like this one but not with this issues..
The other 2 was in smaller pots and was sticky icky Af

Could it be that the lady is so big that she need double or triple quantity of nutes?

Naw.. on the nutes... unless they were seriously deficient this run. Doesnt sound like they are.

Light in same spot? Wondering if tall plant getting closer to light and maybe warmer than what the short ones. If light is in same spott as is thermometer cud be the buds themselves are warmer than thermometer lets on, especially considering radiant heat...

Or could just be a pheno difference...

Is the one your having issues with getting less direct light? What are you using for lighting? Any UVB?

Edit: to get a noticeable difference in the last couple weeks sounds like UVB would be your best bet. Even though this still isn't fully proven.

no id say double and quadruple the light possibly though.

What ever it smells like in flower is what u will get after curing. It might smell worse or It might get more earthy from THC degrading. Curing will not change the base terpene aroma. Nothing gets cured longer then 2 weeks here. We only use "curing" to equalize moisture within flowers so some are not drier then others. Once its stabilized we take it out to dry more we continue this process until its stable at 58-60RH then sealed.

Your @week 5 so unless you have something u need to run just wait. Got any pics?

I got OverDrive too but only because it was half price. I've used it before but never noticed any difference. Same with the Bud Ignitor. Just used it on one of 5 identical clones in ProMix and absolutely nothing of notice there either. Going to get some Bud Factor X and give that a trial run this fall as it gets two thumbs up from a few growers I know elsewhere.

Besides the base nutes, I just use Big Bud and Rhino Skin and I start the Rhino when they are still seedlings. Never used the B-52 or Bud Candy. I do feed extra zinc, iron, ascorbic acid and some B-complex vitamins from the medicine cabinet but that may or may not do anything for the plants. A bit of other calmag and epsom salts are also on the menu.

My Cali x NL5 is almost odorless through the whole grow but seriously kicks ass so I don't worry about what it smells like. Maybe you are having the problem and can't smell it as well as someone else. Zinc is good for loss of that sense and to stop the nocturnal trips to the bathroom so maybe get a jar of those to try. Sure helps me a lot. :)

Yea I'm a new grower and extremely doubtful of anything that isn't nutrient based. I got a PK booster to go with my regular nutrient that's it.
