Yea I have 8 gal between the two now. They will drink 2 gal in a day some times though.....it's way too much maintenance.

Edit: with root mass can only comfortably put about 4 gal in each bucket.

Oh did you mean an 8 gal res aside from your buckets?
a waterfarm bucket typically holds 2 gal. of nutes & about 2 gal of hydroton so I end up with a 4 gal. res.& 2 buckets at 2 gal each the hydroton is constantly being soaked by drip rings around the plants so I end up with 8 gal. total

I gotcha. I read a myth about keeping humidity low during flower so they run through more water and nutrient and ultimately grow bigger buds. I have no baseline to know if it's working or not though. Makes sense to some degree but I'm not convinced making the plant suck up more water through the bucket instead of the air also forces it to utilize the nutrient.

Since it won't let me edit the old posts, one piece of info I wanted to roll out for people who like
My results and want to try and replicate. I am a HEAVY defoliater. I know this is a very loaded argument and I have no baseline to compare to. It's possible I'm ultimately hurting my yield. However I'm not an occasional attendee, I spend at least an hour in room every day. It does not seem as if I have seen any ill effects from it, and has seemed to perform in the way I was wanting it to. For instance after defoliating to allow light to lower bud sites they blew up. So I can't tell you for a fact that it's hurting or helping me, but in my observation good things come after a nice defoliation.

Awesome! So I hear cob refferences as a DIY system? So do they just sell the parts and you design the board yourself?

Ph problem is back even with blasting orca. Back to peroxide and getting my chiller hooked up.....

Edit: one dropped from 5.8 to 5.2 the other from 5.8 to 5.0.

Have you noticed your ec/ppm numbers changing at all? Could the ph drop be due to them eating/not eating?

Well to be honest I didn't check the ppm this morning....all other times it was verified they were taking in nutrient. At this point it would be more strange for them to lockout nutrient that bad, then for the bacteria to be back. But it definetly will get checked at lights on in 2.5 hr.

Morning check is right when I wake up right before lights off, so it's a much briefer check then the couple hours of lights on time I have before bed.

I feel for ya. I have been fighting cyanobacteria tooth and nail since the 2nd week of my grow. I'm hoping to finally win that fight with all my changes for this next res.
