Everything I own is either 3000K or 3500K. If I had it to buy all over again, every scrap of it would be 3000K 90CRI, for clones, veg, bloom and finish.Got my slate 3 up and running
4000k QB 288 in my 2x4 tent full blast
@ttystikk I see that you been feeling the 3000k spectrum.
Do you think it would be a good combo if I added in a 3000k 90w QB288in the middle of the slate 3? This light will work as a
Veg/ flower set up

That would be an awesome light .... Cool thing is this panels are upgradable, so you can swap spectrums and CRI .... Plus the spare panels can be built as supplement rigs ..Got my slate 3 up and running

Everything is in full swing finally! These QB's are great, I can not wait o see what this first run will produce. They are working amazingly so far and fit my grow style perfectly.
4000k left, 3000k middle, 3500k right.

They just send their custies links to threads like this. Seems to work pretty well...HLG should use this on their website. Sweet setup.
18 gauge solid, unless you are going mess with the wires a lot, stranded is more flexible. What size wire does everyone use? Solid or stranded? Im about to build mine today

To broaden the spectrum = higher CRIQuick question folks, I see people mixing different light spectrums. But what I can't understand is, once all this mixing up of spectrums is done what bloody spectrum are you actually running?.
For example 3xqb boards at 3k and say 3x4k or some deep reds it's no longer 3k or 4k.. So is it really worth it?.
A logical answer to this would be appreciated.
I have a alot of spectrums running from a bunch of diy rigs 3k always looks the best. I have 3k cmh and 3k qb they outperform 4k cmh 2700k cob and 3500k cob. In the future I'll use all 3k. I don't think the spectrum mixes very well when using multiple boards if you want mixed spectrum it would be better to have the diodes on the board alternate color for better mixing.Yes to broaden the spectrum, but with this mix of spectrum how much of it is actually used by the plant and how much wasted, compared to running a garden using just one spectrum ie 3000k. Maybe a question for @robincnn HLG since they are designing these boards and should have a clear understanding.
Cheers
And mixing doesn't match the efficiency of using the right spectrum in the first place.I have a alot of spectrums running from a bunch of diy rigs 3k always looks the best.
