I moved the trash can to the dirt so the roots could go in the ground. I also gave her some more Alaska fish ferts and watered heavily. This should get interesting.

I was going to yank the other plants and put the trashcan in that spot but I changed my mind and kept everything.

Happy fourth of July!

I was watching the new Weed Nerd Live show and they had these guys on who are cataloging strain DNA in a visual database they call a Galaxy.

Now I just need to save up and submit some strains.

ohwow that's awesome - and totally a universe to get lost in! :D

Say Mo, when I see that giant in the trash can, looking at the whole plant and seeing how it'S growing topheavy, makes me wonder: do you supplement with any food (topdressings, plant juices...) as they go into flower?
Cheers!

Hi Calli,
The fertilizer I am using is the same the whole way through. I have supplemented with vermicompost, kelp meal, chelated iron, epsom, silica, and micro nutrients. I also add phosphoric acid to my water to drop the pH to 5.7.

I use the dry Alaska fish fertilizer.

Alaska® Vegetable & Tomato Dry Fertilizer
  • For organic gardening
  • Promotes bountiful, flavorful vegetables
  • Made with fish, kelp and other natural ingredients
  • Rich in calcium
  • Low odor
  • NPK 4-6-6

Cheers,
Mo

Well they sure seem to like that mix of amendments (whatever the "other natural ingredients" may be - I hate it when they do that! lol)!
Lately there's been a bit of a quibble as to where on the succession line cannabis is - people are tending more towards the bacterial, which would move it away from the tomato. It makes me pensive to see you using tomato amendments, making me wonder inhowfar the balance of foods being added says anything about the fungal to bacterial ratio in the soil. Because personally, I'm still pretty sure cannabis wants at least a balance if not slight hang towards the fungal. :bigjoint:
Haha I'd so love to drop by and take a sample of your soils right now!!!
Cheers!

The fungal in my vermicompost helps and I also added a sprinkle of Mycos when I started the trashcan 2 years ago.

I don't usually use the dry food in my grows. However, I had good results with my tests using this product. I am using it because I am working too much and don't get much time in the garden. I just water and add micronutrients occasionally.

My computer started to smell like melting plastic this morning so I need to build a new one. I built this i7 64 bit machine in December 2008! My new one will be a Ryzen 7 1700.

Cheers,
Mo
