My amended soil, please help a guy go organic.

Just choosing a set amount of al those components seems like a fuck up waiting to happen. I don't think I have used 2 cups of azomite total in my entire life! Just like a food recipe doesn't call for 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, 2 cups of salt, 2 cups of cumin, or 2 cups of oil and mix well!

So much good info on mixs that work on RIU or other forums. Read and research and so as to learn the basics of putting a workable mix together.
He's amending 8 cubic feet (60 Gallons)! 2 cups of each even sounds a bit light but it'll work. He's not over doing it that's for sure.
If it was me, I'd be doing 3-4 cups of each.

I'd throw in some Fish Meal.

i buy a bag of dr.earth with ewc and aleo vera,,go threw fist harvest, then buy a soil cutter starter kit of kelp4less and done for 3 years before it needs amended,,and done,,water only,,but i do day one of flower use a kool bloom boast and every other week there after,,thing is building soil as fun as it is,costly as hell ,and the idea of me growing my medicine is to save money and kick the street corner hood to the curb,,but the time you finish that recipe, you looking at 400 easy,,and honestly,i dont think it will work,,to many things of same compounds
He needs to factor in percentages and recommendations from the manufacturers. Not really sure what his coco mix already has in it as far as buffering goes.
The ingredients do look good, however. Just need to fine tune the quantities.
I would figure out exactly how much of everything is needed for one cubic foot, then scale it up.

Now it looks a little low on P.
If my back didn't hurt, I'd go get the data off my boxes and do the math for you. Unfortunately, I'm down for the count today.

Maybe tomorrow...

Depends on the amendment. Most of them say 1-2 tbsp per gallon, but not all.

Been using fish bone meal for over a year from kelp4less 6-20-0 and have replaced archipelago bat guano with it and now doing away with mammalian bone meal also. Nothing negative about the switch and it seems helpful in late flower. When I was a kid you couldn't grab a handful of our garden soil without several old scales. All fish remains went there when the groun was soft. Have always used fish meal for all gardens also.

I've never used fish meal, but I LOVE crab meal. Gotta use more but it's cheaper than fish meal. Not sure why. Fish are more readily available than crab. It's also super high in calcium -- like 24% if I recall.

all these work great when applied right,,equal precentage of each to level out the N P K value,,you can go threw the roof with equal values to,,but at some point your gonna get to hot for plants,,also much much money doing it,,ive built a ton of soil for my weed and veggie garden,,and from my experience,,come to this as far as the pocket book and labor involved to make it,,the soil cutter starter pack from kelp4 less is the cheapest and best way to go,,ya it takes 90 days to cook,,but also doesnt need to be reamended for 4 or 5 years,,at some point with this mix the op is wanting to do,,there isnt gonna be any life in the soil,,so with that being said,it would be better to grow hydro and feed the chemicals to it,,jmo but with that mix there isnt gonna be a soil life,,and yes even in coco you have life if you know what your doing

Mixing soil takes all day for me.
There are ingredients that you want as powdered as possible.
Others, not so much.
Then there's my secret ingredient, which must be soaked before mixing.

OK, it's not a secret. I loves me some calcined clay... (non-clumping kitty litter)

Sugar?
Is it in the solution you used to wet it down?
Fast easy carbon like adding a can of soda but I just mix in a little sugar before I get it wet. I try to do my mixing and moving while still as dry (light) as possible. I use 8822 also.

I also run dry leaves and stems through the blender and add like Alfalfa or Kelp meal. Yeah, some stuff is just for fun.
