whcih nutrient to pick?

hello guys,
I have been searching for nutrients, but for I am in a country not easy to buy general hypro or fox farm nutrients, I can only find some other nutrients list their npk ratio like "20-20-20"or "10-52-10".
Those products are cheaper and more accessable here. May I adjust the ratio to the foxfarm way? like add more water ?
foxfarm list and the nutrient I can find added below.

First of all you have to understand NPK, you just cant add water and assume that you have the proper nutrient for your plant. The Foxfarm you posted is their "feeding chart" of their fertilizer with a fixed NPK ratio.

Feeding chart is different from mixing your own NPK ratio.

I suggest that you do a lot of reading in regards to NPK ratio their PPM and even EC if you are incline to mix your own ratio or have no other choice.

1. What NPK ratio you think is best for your plant for the veg stage? What NPK ratio for the bloom stage?
2. How much PPM do you need for each element per gallon?

Only then you can mix different fertilizer with the aim to hit those goals (ratio and ppm).

Just my 2 cents

:< unfortunately the chart only told me 6 teaspoon per gallon, not with general unit.
I will try read more:>

A general purpose fertilizer 20-20-20 is fine. It needs to have micro-nutrients included or you need to add them.

Basically anything that grows tomatoes will grow pot.

But start at about 25% of the directions on the fertilizer. Don't worry about Fox farms or whatever.

And any limed peat lite mix will work for the soil. Don't use soil that has ferts in it that says will feed up to 4 months.

Only a medium that says it will feed for 1 or 2 weeks is best. And it should have a slightly acidic ph.

Greenhouses may sell a potting mix. And fertilizer. Just say it's for tomatoes.

imagine every newbie just sticking with this and totally rocking it from their first try.
should be a sticky!

It is pretty much right out of Jorje Cervantes or Ed Rosenthals Grow books.

Imagine if people actually read books before doing new things?
thank you.
what I mean above like this.
if foxfarms"1-1-1"(if existed) said put 6 teaspoon in 3 gallon water, but my nutrient is "20-20-20" . I just put 6 teaspoon in 3*20=60 gallon water. That basically changes into a mathematical problem.

exactly! I was fortunate to have all the stoner grower techniques that sometimes didnt not work, then the internet came, and I almost bought into the new gen of stoner techniques but instead opted for both the books you mention, coincidence? nah, notice we have similar results ? I do, and I blame these two guys. I admit havent seen either book in years.. They try very hard to make common sense common... (I dont actually dont believe jorge wrote any part of his book, but who cares right?, you've heard his stupid ass vids and his dumb demeanor, book didnt fit that vibe for me I guess)

I dont follow word for word, but I did gain much common sense from reading both books. I gain some entertainment, some really good view points, and once in awhile a good grow point.. Mostly though, anytime I tried ANY additive offered up here my plants suffered. anytime I tried a new light someone said rocked, sucked, new nutrients? sucked, new grow pots? sucked..

right back to the very first way I decided to grow in the beginning, goshdammit! rafters full of equipment, shelves full of nutrients and additives, Unused grow trays, plumbing, spare wet dry vacs, pumps, hoses, dammit, back to a frikken bucket of dirt and composted chicken shit, hand watered for my full circle win

it's way too late in the day to do this kind of geometry:eyesmoke:

Unfortunately my friend, mixing fertilizer is a learning process but once you get the hang of it,it would be worth your while. The easiest route though is buy the nute online and ship it to you but that might cost a fortune.
thank you.

Yes

1-1-1 and 20-20-20 are the same ratio, the difference is called concentration. So technically your math is correct. The problem is the foxfarm is ratio is not 1-1-1. You may emulate the actual foxfarm actual ratio by combining different fertilizer but sooner or later you will encounter problem in finding the right PPM (concentration).

No. Follow the specific directions on the fertilizer you will use. But at 25% to 50% max of the directions.

If it says 15 ml per gallon. I start at 5 ml per gallon (approx 4 liters) And gradually go up with the plants needs.

A teaspoon is equal to 5 ml.

The funniest part for me is that ed already tested every thing discussed on the forums. He said uv-b increases thc so many years ago. Far red light to speed flowering too. Darkness to stop carbohydrate uptake before harvesting. Check!

Out of curiosity...

How many people use 1-1-1 as fertilizer ratio? or 10-10-10 or 20-20-20? I mix my own blend

ok I know what you mean.
what if I mix nutrient to a samilar ratio and samilar ppm with those on foxfarm chart ?

If you're able to do that then you can follow their feeding chart or close to it. But there's more to it, micro nutrients in their fertilizer has also an impact on the overall usage of their product.

hmmm, one way trying combine own recipe, one way buying foxfarms.
first way may cause failure but I will try:>

always thx

These nutrients I can find is with micro nutes. Or micro-nutes are with a proper ratio?
