Impeachment of Donald J Trump **Official Thread**

And even if Trump steps down and gets the blanket pardon, I don't see how some of these investigations could simply stop. There are too many other implicated actors and all the connections need to be uncovered even if it couldn't lead to Trump getting frog-marched.
He's not worried because it won't be him..that's how mentally ill he is..no conscience whatsoever.

'Don Jr is a quality person'.

Could he spare the compliment? The only jailing that will upset him is Ivanka's 'a champion..a real champion'- she's on tape too..

Fuck collusion, they're ALL tied to money laundering..

*and that, everyone goes to jail for.

Because DC is leaking like a sieve and nothing out there now that does the job. But I'm staying tuned in for sure. Seeing Trump go down would be one for the ages!
Well geese why do we have a special commission when we already have all the info and know everything?

Recordings from a meeting where pretty much all agree nothing happened?

I don't accept that Jr's disappointment at no dirt on Clinton brought to the meeting by Russian counterparts means the meeting signifies nothing. The Trump campaign is now caught in the spotlight with their hand in the collusion cookie jar regardless of the content of that meeting. Which brings more attention to other meetings where Trump and his cronies claim there was no collusion. As they had before Jr was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Collusion -- a non-crime but a dishonest act -- is not proven. Now is the time to ferret out the crimes.

Yet...there is plenty of confirming testimony that no dirt on Clinton was brought to the meeting. Unless something new comes up, I'm convinced that no dirt on Clinton was brought to the meeting, which, as it turns out, is a good thing for Jr.

And so, why would anybody care about recordings containing nothing?

We don't know what was said at the meeting- yet.

In lots of ways what was said doesn't even matter. Its still collusion with a foreign power to effect the outcome of an election.
There were a lot of witnesses at that meeting. So many that I'm feeling a bit insulted for being left out.

You could be right and all those witnesses both from Russia and from the US held a post meeting meeting to square all the stories. Sounds a bit too complicated to me. You can continue to try to ride this horse, it might not be dead but sure looks like it to me.

As you say, in a lot of ways, what was said doesn't even matter. Collusion is now proven. It's reasonable to suspect that at other meetings, Russian agents shared dirt on Clinton or at the very least coordinated efforts with Trump's bumblers.

Sounds like there was another trump\putin meeting at the g20. This is really getting juicy.

I believe even knowing about it would be a crime.
I'm no lawyer and many of my clients would agree.

What I've heard on NPR is that collusion isn't a crime at all. It might be part of conspiracy to commit a crime. But that crime hasn't been named as far as I know. You know different?

Not really, but I'm certain having knowledge of the hacking (a crime) even before it took place would be conspiracy, if it were to go unreported to authorities.
