Well, I really like the fact that sunboards are 36v. It makes things really easy since we all have the 36v cobs nailed down. No question about that and their price point and no need for dedicated heatsink for under 2100 ma is also very attractive. However, the one issue I see is the size. From what I understand it's needed for the heat dissipation and "proprietary spread". They are 8.9" x 13.94". Quantums are 6.83" x 11.25". Drawing out a diy light definitely leaves you with more options with QB's in my opinion especially in tent situation. Also QB's have more diodes per board (QBs are 288 or 304 vs SB240). This is where I would love to see the data comparison between the two because intensity and or penetration MAY be a concern.
I don't have any loyalty to either company and I'm more than happy with my CXB3590 and citi builds so don't get me wrong. Robin and Steve have been great for our community and have been putting out hard data for years. Just trying to figure out the real data on these products.
