Best diy cob build for dummys

Can some one please link me to a good source for me to follow a diy cob light. I have very little electrical expierence and really need something i can follow step by step with great results and where to get the shit from. Thanks guys

This is going to be for my next grow. I am 4 weeks into fkower this grow then im expecting to get a 4 x 8 tent

Well, if you don't have the tools to properly and safely put together a cob unit from scratch I think it ends up being around the same price.

But if you're handy and have tools at your disposal I can see how it's cheaper.

I went went both products I mentioned. All I built was an aluminum frame for my cob unit.

time restraint is my biggest issue,atm.i think i would just need a soldering kit.i'll probably go with one already put together.

I grabbed 2 cxm-22 passive cooled light engines from cobkits.com

Then a meanwell driver (can expand to 4 with the same driver)

Can buy a plug from any hardware store for 5 bucks. (Link is for visual... buy from a dedicated hardware store for much cheaper)

Use these to connect the cobs to the driver.

If you go this route I can upload a wiring diagram.

For a frame all you need is a length of angle aluminum and cut V's out of it and bend it by hand. Drill some holes and the cobs mount to it and hold it together.

6ft 1/16" was 12$ and you can cut it with side cutters.

Pipe hanger for hanging brackets and you are set.

Couple tie wraps to hold the driver to the frame and it's GG.

Took me about an hour to put it together.

Tools?
Side cutters
Screw driver
Drill to make the mounting holes in the alluminum
Strippers, if you can't strip with side cutters ;)

This was for a 2x3. I am sure a 4 cob setup would be fine for a 4x4 or slightly bigger.

Cobkits.com is fast and good quality gear.
