Blue Mystic Autoflower - need help diagnosing issue

So I've got this blue mystic autoflower that has been having trouble the past few days. These leaves are getting a bit crispy and I'm noticing weird brown spots and I need to know what to do with them. Should I chop these leaves off? Is it a nutrient deficiency? Can I hit these leaves with neem oil and not worry about it?

Details on the stage of this plant:

  • This is a Blue Mystic Feminized Autoflower from Nirvana Seeds
  • Today is day 45 from seed and it's in the flowering stage
  • Soil is Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil
  • I'm using mostly tap water with a PH level of 6.3 - 6.5
  • Using the Fox Farms Soil Trio for nutrients (Big Bloom, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom), going super light with half doses
  • Really haven't used much nutrients at all and it just got it's first 'flowering' set of nutrients last week
  • Also using Cal-Mag Plus supplement from Botanicare (also going really light with this)
  • Been watering about once a week - I usually wait until the soil is dry and the pot feels light
I'm not too worried about the crispy leaves in the first and third image. It's possible they accidentally got hit with some nutrient rich water.

The second image worries me a bit because I've read some scary shit about bud rot. I've preemptively trimmed leaves that look unhealthy. I'm also going to put some of the leaves under a scope to check for mites/bugs.

At this point I'm going to stop nutrients altogether and just use water PH'd to 6.5 - starting with a couple gallons of distilled water then going back to tap if no issues continue.

If anyone knows what is going on, especially with the second image where there are brown spots directly in the center of the leaf, let me know!

i wouldnt worry too much just looks like a little mag deficiency usually will grow out of it after you flushed

Hey man thanks - I was wondering if anyone was ever going to reply to this thread since it wasn't about Trump or Hillary...

I trimmed the leaves out of worry it might be infectious and started flushing but also added some cal-mag. No new leaf issues, which I guess is good.

yeah no problem i think people would rather talk about politics then actually growing lol but just check out that site and bookmark it, its a very good go to when your stuck

How is the spotting, mine looked the same and I have some of this on my other two plants. I thought calcium or mag def. hell idk I'm still reading. I bought the Garden Saver book
 
how many mls per gallon are you mixing of each of the fertilizers?

how much water volume do you use with each water?

how long has the plant been in the current pot ands what size is it

can you provide a picture of the entire plant

VinnyOcean's advice helped out. I basically flushed and then fed just CalMag Plus with 6.5 water for the rest of the grow. Most likely a Manganese deficiency. I haven't seen any issues like that since.

Something I've learned during my grow is that later in the flowering stage a Phosphorus and Potassium boost is going to help with flowering. I'm pretty much at the end of my grow and waiting for trichomes to get more amber before the chop (which will probably happen in a couple days) but I wish I would have fed some PK nutrients a couple weeks ago. I could have a slightly healthier plant. Too late now since I'm at the flush stage.

But yeah to answer your question, it was a mag deficiency.
 
tiger bloom is PACKED with P even a little would have been plenty.. im not a big fan of this brand of fert..(the soil is great)

to me they looked over fed and calcium and magnesium def and the calmag flush would have helped that for sure

At the point I saw issues I stopped all Fox Farms nutrients but continued to use the CalMag Plus from Botanicare. I've read that Blue Mystic Autoflower does well when you go light on the nutrients. For the next run of Blue Mystic I'm going to plan late stage PK feeding using the Tiger Bloom/Big Bloom I've got.

Just to follow up on your earlier question - I am/was using a 3 gallon GeoPot and was watering about 3/4 of a gallon to 1 gallon each time (depending on the amount of runoff) and I was using half doses of the Fox Farms trio, so if it said to use 5ml per gallon I was using 2.5ml per gallon. There was one week when I switched to full strength nutrients (but not using CalMag) and the week after that I noticed the leaf issues. It's possible that it was an overfeeding issue.
 
Either way, all good now. I'll be posting more to the grow journal at harvest, during cure, and after the first smoke. Excited for that!
