So if you use them for concentrates then logically this means that they do contain THC, correct? So I wonder how much THC they contribute? Do you have to keep refining it to make it strong enough?
To everyone:Like I said, I do smoke my trimmings. I gathered about 1&3/4 oz. wet weight yesterday and just waiting for it to dry now. I weighed it so that perhaps I can see how much wet weight would equal dry weight come harvest time. Should give me a rough estimate anyway in my harvest.
The leaves do contain THC that much I know from personal experience. I can assure you that the leaves now, are almost as potent as the stuff that we got back in the late 70's and early 80's. And are stronger than the home grown back then.
Chemphlegm, you would have hated it back then lol. Colas? We rarely, if ever saw those. Forget a 10" cola, that just didn't happen way back then. At least not to my knowledge.
in legal states now you gotta realize this fluff and sugar leaf shit is plentiful, a nuisance really. drying it, storing it...its all weight for us, illegal weight if we're at our limits. It makes no sense to use up time and resources to gain less oil from sugar leaves than from excess/old buds. We dont ever have issues of shortages, on the contrary.
clear this up a bit.
the thc in the sugar leaves is just as potent as the bud thc. there is less of it on the sugar leaves. they test lower thc by weight because of this fact. sugar leaves are a win. I toss my frikken roaches in the fire full time, I'm so embarrassed to admit it, but why would I ever choose to suck up a sappy used sticky joint when I have 20+ strains all sitting here full time for me to sample, brand new, fresh, plus I am required to test this before it leaves, its my duty. roaches stink, take up space, taste like shit.
now in the 70s I held them dear, sometimes even for special occasions, so..... by by pipe scrapings and bag dust. when I see a bud on the floor, and I do most days ...it gets sucked up by the robot and I dont give shit. all floor cooties and shit...lol
