Could use some help on shrooms

This is my second time growing shrooms. First time I used brf and Verm. This time I used wbs. I wanted to do a bulk grow. I have a bag of manure a bunch of egg shells I was gonna powder up. And a brick of coco. What would I do for proper sterilization and mix ratios? I have done countless hours of research but I like hearing first hand experiences. Thanks beforehand

I don't remember the mix ratio but the sterilization is more a pasteurized thing. Last time I did bulk, I used a oven roasting bag. Filled with the bulk substrate and...well...baked it.

Yeah I have been an over there looking stuff up for weeks. I always hear use vermiculite but I can't really get to any right now

Thank man I appreciate it. Unfortunately I am the only one I know personally that has the balls to try to grow anything. So best teacher I got is the Internet. Sucks causehands on is always better

Ratio really is a preference. Drop the oyster shells. Use pickling lime for ph adjustment of coco.

3 dry quarts manure
1.5 quarts verm
10 grams calcium powder
6 grams bone meal
6 grams blood meal
3 grams powdered kelp or seaweed
~1qt water(more or less to reach field capacity)
myco bags, .5 or .2 filter patch type
6"zip ties
wbs grain spawn, free of contaminants

add all dry stuff, slowly add water til you get the right consistency and a tiny drip of water runs out when you squeeze a handful. Put a quart of substrate in each bag, roll the bags up, don't seal, use a rubber band poster style to hold them shut. Wrap the bags in an old towel or t shirt and place in a pressure cooker without submerging them, use no more water than you do for grain in your pc. Cook the bags at 15 psi for ninety mins - two hours. Spawn inside a glove box or in front of a hood with a cup of spawn per bag, twist the top up and seal with a tight zip tie, careful not to obstruct the filter.

once they are fully colonized open the bags, mist very lightly and poke a good bit of pin holes or small slits in each bag all around the mid section. Tie the bags back with a rubber band or bread tie. Mist and fan daily until pins form, then just harvest at the stage you want.

clean spawn is the key, start on agar if possible.

There's is ample amount on nutriention in a good composted manure like Black Kow. No need for those meals in my opinion.

they aren't necessary but in my time as an amateur mycologist i found the addition of bone and blood meal actually made a noticeable difference over straight poo using isolates for comparison. There's a product called promycel gold natural that uses bone and blood, and a mix of different powdered grains, the stuff works very well but last i checked you had to buy a minimum 50lb sack, ends up costing about a hundred bucks shipped

the meals can be omitted but i would leave the kelp in for the brassos and micro nutrients

you have to order from the company last I heard. Also a great recipe is just plain manure, verm, and gypsum, that is really all that's needed, though you can very well use only the poo

Bulk is the bomb. Look up some youtube vids there are interesting ways to pasteurize your substrate...
Takes a bit more time, but you can feed an army.

Don't make it complicated if you don't need to. Just buy a mushroom compost that's already made. High mountain compost makes a great one! $45 for a 10lb bag. No problems with them. They even have kits.
This was my first brf bulk ever, Turned out great and they were super potent 300g and I didn't even use half the compost
