To trim or not to trim autos?

individual leaves do not power their adjacent leaves like that. they are pistons in an engine. if the leaf is not functioning properly remove it. if you want more light then add more light, not rip off leaves aye. try bending twisting, folding, but please allow that magic leaf to make your buds better.

I have starting tucking the bigger fan leaves to expose the bud sights to more light will see how this goes. I have never been a fan of trimming unless it absolutely necessary. Thanks for the info.
 
I find light penetration to be key, not direct light. I keep colas down to my light penetration point, about 18-24 inches from the tops.
under that I usually feed to my bunnies. Removing leaves from those top colas to allow more light to reach the bottom larf is ill, like removing roots to make more room for more. those bottom buds will not be any better from light 4 feet away than light four feet away shaded by leaves. but even the shaded ones up and down the colas test like prizes. tucking is better than cutting, but still not necessary.
 
With it being an auto I only have the one main Cola and it's starting to stretch a bit the lower Side shoots we're getting so thick I started LST them two kind of open it up. I'm 11 Days Inn to the flowering cycle and I think bending the top will stress it out too much. Literature I've read on Lowryder says 60 days from seed in soil to harvest and I'm at day 39 don't want to stress it and ruin what I've worked hard to accomplish so far.

A few leaves will be fine, just don't go defoliating like you would a photoperiod. You can also top auto's, generally speaking but I'm sure there will be some strains that don't like it.
