how do you know he wouldn't keep it confidential and keep digging for something even bigger? Maybe he would carefully "memorialize" his proof and hold it as evidence for the final reveal, when he concludes the investigation.

I didn't have any specific deed in mind. I just wondered if he found solid proof that Trump had taken criminal actions that were harmful to the USA would he speak up on the fly? Or would it be a chapter in his completed investigation.
I tried to have a real time conversation with a Trump supporter face to face. His only statements were Trump is going to make America Great Again and how illegals are taking all the jobs. When asked about Trump policies, his answers were Trump will make America Great Again. Apparently illegals are taking all the jobs in America.
