how long should i wait?? i put seeds in paper towels almost 10 days ago now.. a few popped after just 2 days,, but most are still unpopped.. i had a seed take 14 days to pop once before,, the best seeds pop w/in a day or 2,, but some take a wile... anyways is there a way to tell if the seed is dead or not going to pop,,how long should i keep them in the towel before throwing it away?? i would say after 2 weeks if they havnt popped they are not going too,, how long till u throw away?????

Im just going oooh naturaaaalll from now on putting them in good soil add a little h20 and let nature do its thing!!! I always did have good results that way im just impatient and want results now, but one thing ive learned over the past two years is you gotta get some if you dont when it comes to growing.

The biggest mistake most people make is two fold: Either soaking them to the point of drowning, or letting them dry out.

If you put it in a moist paper towel and then put the paper towel in a Ziploc bag and leave the bag open (DO NOT zip it closed.) then every seed should germinate within 4 to 5 days. Most times, they'll only take 2 or 3.

If they haven't germinated within 10 days with that method, they're no good.

For the record: I've never had a seed not germinate with that method. Ever. (But to be fair, I'm not trying to use bag seed that's been dried out to the point of death for God knows how long. I use seeds from ILGM.)

Question any one know how you go about getting seeds for testing i seen someone post about testing for a seed bank i know my game could use some help but if they are giving out seeds then i need to get on that train

Nobody gives away quality seeds for testing. Reputable suppliers though, like ILGM, guarantee them when you purchase them. I've only had one seed from ILGM not germinate, and that was actually my fault.

Jiffy cups are dumb. Those seedlings were fine, you set them back by a few days with your transplant. Don't leave em in there for more than a week.
No such thing as planting a seed the wrong way round, it uses gravity to figure out where the root must go.

Those black bags are awesome but you need to punch them full of holes with a paper punch first.
