Hi everybody, new grower here with a dilemma. I have two cabinets; a steel cabinet at 36x18x63" and a solid wood armoire that measures 39.5x22x65". Steel cab is 4sq/ft with only 17" of depth. Armoire 6sq/ft. I want to grow one or two plants in a waterfarm or Coco using 205watts of optic 2 led light. I'm worried about how to insulate the metal cab and how to apply any reflective material to its walls, armoire? Fire. Which would you grow in. Oh I'm in the southeast so heat and humidity will be a factor. Thanks. Oh what would you use for reflectivity in the steel cab?

Oh and I've already vented the metal cab with two 4 inch holes in the left panel and one 4 inch hole out of the rightt side of top.

OK, thanks I got the metal cab for free so I thought for some reason it would be better to grow in. I guess because most of the commercial cabs are steel.

I'd go option c
Use both
Veg and keep seedlings in the metal one and flower in the armoire.
It's roughly the same size as the one I use so a worthwhile harvest is possible imo

Ya. Go with option C if you can afford the extra light and fans. A Veg cab and a Flower cab is ideal!
For both just use flat White paint.

White paint
With a roller and brush?
Metal or wood, get the appropriate white primer and give it two coats. A small brush and small roller. Paints vary from country to county but for either material you should be able to find a multi purpose primer. Don't use water based on steel. Wood you can use emulsion or acrylic.
Edit if its wood and treated with varnish or stain or oiled then get some sort of sticks to anything primer sealer, unless you want to spend hours rubbing it down.

I bought a can of kilz primer sealer, will that be ok and which flat white paint is recommended. Also I was planning on using an optic 4 (pioneer 4, perfect sun cob,all are the same light) in my 2x3. With such a small space would a qb or about 200 watts of cob be better and why? Thanks.

If your cabs made from wood, you can use any bathroom flat white paint, washable and some have anti mould.

My cabinet is the same size.
I run two pcb led boards at 90w each
Roughly 180total
Seems perfect imo 80 degree average

The killz primer if it's flat white might work just as well as you need.
Maybe just give it two nice heavy coats.
