My height is pretty limited. I think I need to remove the floor ofvtge cab for the extra six inches. The plants are loving the light and the UV doesn't seem to be adverse in effect. The leaves are very thick. Like a pepper plant grown in direct sun vs part sun. I'm debating mainline this week or just clone/flower and get on to the autos. I still need the reds to arrive in the mail so I know I won't flower until then. Save yourself the hassle and get a large slate heatsink from hlg instead of custom cutting u channel. The strips are 17"×2". Well, more like 16.7"×1.75". Twenty strips would be amazing. Ill measure my distance later when I visit. I think I'm around twelve inches away but yea, like you said, on the weakest setting.cant wati till you crank them up. Im curious the lux at 18inches on full blast. I like to keep any light at 18inches or so. I want to do this setup, its just distance with photons that is a concern.
Ooobaby that looks nice. I bet having strips back to back will really dense up your buds! Where are you looking for 1/8" Al sheet? I would love to build another panel. I may dismantle my old magnum 357 panel for the heatsink and add side lighting or a veg panel.. These strips are a blessing. Here is my idea, it will have the strips on 1/8 in alum and then another mesh alum sheet 1 inch gap off light sheet for the drivers, then 16- 5W 730 diodes, Done. should be a badass light for a 4x3. covers the area but 6 inches on each edge. 5,800 lumens pstf.
24x36iinch, each light will be touching side to side, so it will be interesting of the 2 so close, then gap, then 2.
they will be offset for 16 wide, and 4 on the top and bottom going other way.
$350 probably around total cost
$210 just for the strips, with drivers, i think is pretty good deal alone.
Youd need 8 cobs to get these lumens, with 800 watts.
cant wait
