My outdoor garden has just started to go into early flower. This is my first crop outdoors but have done a few indoors successfully. So I was just wondering what everybody used as a sweetener in flower along with their bloom nutrients. I know this is a pretty vague question and there's going to be a ton of different opinions but I just wanted to get an idea of what the community was using outside. I like to get suggestions from people that are actually growing with no intentions of selling the product versus getting the information about products directly from the manufacture. Any opinions on this would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

none.just weekly teas(most of the time) topdressed with ewc along with fishmeal(at beginning of flowering).the ewc i'll add more often.

if the sweetener helped success then the bloom formula was incomplete/weak
Thanks for the input. I have seen your posts on here (I mainly lurk and just read) and can tell you're an extremely knowledgeable person with growing cannabis. So I really appreciate your input and I totally understand what you mean. I have no complaints with my feeding program and I do not specifically NEED a sweetener. I do not have any deficiencies as of now at least even though I still have another 6-7 weeks left of flower so a lot can change of course. Do you not use one personally? I was just curious to see what people were using as a sweetener because I have heard so many people rant and rave about how it can ripen buds and make them swell. Like I said in my OP I do not tend to take manufacturers claims too serious and like to hear from the community since a lot of us are not trying to push these products and will not make false Claims. So Is what you are saying pretty much that a sweetener is just not needed during flower? I am running General hydroponics three-part (grow, micro, bloom) along with their Cal Mag and that's all I've needed so far. The plants are in Foxfarm happy frog soil with some extra perlite mixed in.

Dude. Molasses(Sweetener) is to feed the microbes in the soil. It's not to sweeten the buds or make them swell...

So yes, adding Molasses to feed the microbes is good. But it doesn't sweeten anything at all or ripen or swell anything. 
Yeah that makes complete sense now that you have broke it down for me. So pretty much the only things that I should really be worried about giving are just the regular bloom nutrients and my Cal mag unless I develop a deficiency down the line correct? Like I said previously they are perfectly healthy I was just seeing if there was anything other people like to add to their programs during bloom.

i wanted to grow in large bags and not have to buy new soil every year.i found coots soil recipe on here and made up a bunch of that last season.it needs amendments each year but the cost is nothing like buying rtu soil after your initial start up. i think for outdoor,the kiss method organically is the way to go.healthy soil will produce nice tasting smoke.i dont use bottled nutes(not knocking anyone) just some powdered bat guano during veg in my teas for some N.i noticed my soil was lacking in that department this season.i just top dressed with fish meal when they started to flower and thats all ill do to "boost" flowering.im pretty sure good old earthworm castings can help too,flavorwise.

Yeah that sounds like making this soil would be extremely convenient for my outdoor grows. I was basically using this season to try to dial in a schedule and program as much as possible since it's my first one outdoors. I am extremely happy how things have gone so far but I know I have made multiple mistakes throughout the season. I am going to do a search for this soil recipe and give it a shot. Thanks for the input man!

I'm going to try the product "Terpenez" at the end of my flowering cycle outside. I think it's an organic ingredient bc it's only terpenes itself from what I understand. It helps to have a micro herd to break down the terpenes and somehow it trigger terpene production in cannabis. I don't know the science but I'm going to try it. I should do a control plant without the treatment in order to compare but probs won't.
Also I've read that sulphur increases terpene production which I think is weird. Doesn't sulphur smell horrible?

I used the kiss method with good soil and worm castings and had some really nice tasting bud from that.
That was 2 seasons ago and I think ill go back to that method this grow coming up (southern hemisphere)

mistakes are the best way to learn.every year i learn something new.always.i would use coots recipe as a base and add a few other things as well.i had a couple other members help me build some soil for this season.in this batch,i also added alfafa meal,greensand and just a little cow manure(moo doo i think) the plants have been thriving.the amount of perlite or whatever aeration you choose is very,very important.dont be shy about adding that.at least 33% or more.last years soil could have used a bit of amending as ive had to supplement with the bat guano for nitrogen this season.i plan on sending a soil sample out at the end of the season for analysis.the pic is from this years soil,that plant was about 18" when i put it out last week of june.any questions pm me and ill try and help anyway i can.gl on the rest of your grow
yeah,a good soil is hard to beat.tbh,ive personally just had problems feeding from a bottle.i follow the directions but either dont give enough or give too much,volume wise.with this nutrient rich,"built" soil in larger containers,my plants stay green thru veg and in flower,i add very minimal in terms of a bloom formula.like i said earlier,im onto the fish bone meal this grow,and like the results so far.i think the worm castings are A1 as well.damn,is it time for you to start your grow already? seems you were just harvesting lol
