Does anyone have any experience with stem splitting?

Hi there. I've been lurking around for a while, but have never posted before. I was hoping that someone here may have first hand experience with splitting stems shortly before harvest to increase resin production. I have some autos (my first go at autos) that are getting close. I did try it on one already, a couple of days ago, and it hasn't seemed to hurt her at all, but it may be too soon to tell if its helped at all
I have a few more that I'm thinking of doing the same to, but it does make me a bit nervous.
Any advice on this subject is very much appreciated.
Cheers!

Like most other techniques regarding growing cannabis, this theory comes under a lot of fire, but as usual, it's up to the grower's preference. Here's a link with a little more information

Yes, thank you Rusher:) That's where read about it. Just can't seem to connect with any folks who have actually given it a go. Maybe that's a red flag in itself. Lol.

welcome to RUI. this is one of many myth you will find among growers but once you develop basic growing skills and can produce a good crop you should try it with a single plant and compare it to other plants in your grow

No worries, but be clear I'm not endorsing this activity. It's up to each grower to learn and move forward. I've never tried it, but read about it. Let us know how you fare.

Cheers
