BHO blasting banned in Cali??

I was talking to a dude from Denver. He said Cali banned BHO extracting because of fires and though WA and Ore did the same?? He said it was due to fires and that it should be good for legal extraction in Colo?

I am consdiering a MIPs license in CO so this sounded good but I doubt that this is true.

Apparently the body count isn't high enough yet in CO to ban BHO. That was only CA, WA and OR. Nobody could ever catch fire in CO, the unfiery state.

In Oregon you can extract from a certified and permitted facility. Extracting outside one is a Class B felony. We lost the ability to extract our own concentrates outside a permitted facility, regardless of how safe and sane it was.

Nevada requires a certified facility as well, and I installed a Mk IVC at Medizin in Las Vegas, and demonstrated it to one of their state senators. I don't know what they do if they catch you doing so outside a permitted facility there.

We also installed a certified MK VB in Chelan, WA, who also requires a permitted facility.

WolfWurx's Mk IVC/VC certifications were for OR, WA, CO, NV, and MD, and were required to meet ASME, IEC, IBC, and NFPA-58.

I can understand why it's scaring the shit out of those looking on. Someone just blew up another house here in Portland, extracting BHO in the basement of a residence, and besides later dying himself, a visiting handyman working upstairs was killed as well. Houses next door were trashed.

As long as that sort of thing continues to happen, more and more laws will be written in an attempt to curb it. I've tried education as my foil every since I became involved with LPG extraction around 2007, and there is widespread agreement that indoor extraction outside a facility designed for it is insalubrious, yet we continue to see explosions from brothers and sisters doing so.

Subcritical CO2. Dry ice in a closed container turns liquid. The pressure doesn't get that high until all the dry ice melts. Somebody would have to figure out a good apparatus for it though. I read about one guy who took the top off a CO2 tank, put weed in through the hole then added crushed up dry ice and capped it back up. Then he would squirt out the liquid CO2 into something to collect the extract. I think he used a screen too somehow, to keep the gas outlet from clogging. It can probably be found by searching about subcritical CO2 weed extraction. From what I've found, it makes a better extract than supercritical.

I was talking to a licensed guy today who has a commercial grow facility. He said some rich kid was in a house his parents bought him in CO. He was blasting and had all the butane cans near where he was "working." Things went bad and all the cans started igniting and it blew the roof off on the house. I am not sure if the kid died. Sad about the handyman in Portland.

are sub critical pressures reached this way?(3200psi?) I just dont see it. those pressure vessels are different than c02 tank wall I believe. I dont think putting buds in a container of carbon dioxide would extract anything. like some still thinking that the dry ice is doing something other than cooling plant material when using traditionally?

I said SUBcritical, you're thinking of SUPERcritical. Subcritical is low pressure until all the solid dry ice disappears, then it rises sharply and can blow shit up. You need all three phases together, triple point I guess it's called.

Probably better off with simple sifting. That way you don't get a bunch of cuticle wax and god knows what. If people prefer their resin without the trich membranes around it, you can always press it out as "rosin". Solvent extracts are harsher than trichs or trich rosin, and you really don't know what the hell's in there, now do you? With sift, you can see it's intact trichs so nothing extraneous could be in there, and if it's a water type trich recovery it's even nice and clean, assuming they weren't jackasses and used fucking tap water, as may tutorials suggest. Tap water, otherwise known as duck and fish shit water, full of chlorine, possibly fluoride, lead, any damn thing. Very irresponsible tutorial writers. Just buy some fucking distilled water, ain't that expensive.

Personally I'm switching from extraction to sifting. I don't get much with my 112 micron screen so I guess I'll have to use a mesh coffee filter. How about this, put some weed in a coffee filter, put something over top of it, like a round plastic container lid, and shake? Don't even have to order a screen in special. I don't know what the mesh is but you get a lot more than with the fine mesh hash screens.

People can say anything, and sometimes do, whether its true or not.

Here is Oregon's regulation and last I checked WA required the same certification/permitting but was legal.
