DIY with Quantum Boards

Slate 2 singles and doubles will be back this Friday along with new Triple in Slate 2 series

testing 2 monsters with HLG 600H

Slate 5 Quad - Black Anodized - around 15 x 29 inches
Slate 6 Quad - Clear Anodized - around 12.5 x 37.5 inches

Both weigh about the same. 22lbs with driver, cord, boards, hanger
Same cooling capacity. 55C at 600Watts
Hard to pick one.
I like Slate 6 Quad as boards are more spread out.

I was really hoping to get some of these before mid-flower, and run these instead of the CMH. see how t hat goes along with (12)cxb3590@75watts.

Hello, I’m wondering if anyone can help me. I’m currently trying to assemble two QB 304 in series using a meanwell 240h-c2100b driver. I have pictures attached, I’m fairly certain my connections are correct, however my lights aren’t turning on. Wondering if anyone has a chance to let me know if I’m missing something. Thanks everyone.

Thanks so much. Others have suggested the 2100b is the incorrect driver.
I believe the c1400-1050b driver might suit my needs better for series wiring, is there any consensus on whether parallel or series would be preferable? . I’m sorry I know this question has been answered a million times before.

So I'm piecing together another 135w kit by purchasing the components separately (thanks for the idea, Robin!). Bought a HLG-120H-54A from Sager, and a QB288 (3000k) plus accessory kit from HLG. Now I just need to wait for the Slate 2 singles to be back in stock. Anything I can do to increase my chances of getting one before they're sold out? Any pre-ordering available?

You could always use an alternative for heat sink. A piece of aluminium sheeting cut to the correct size will work or?

That's definitely an option if I don't get a Slate 2. But I'd much prefer the Slate 2 because I'm OCD about things matching. Don't want to open up my cab and see mismatched heatsinks on either side! Stupid, I know, but that's why it's obsessive behavior!
