People couldn't imagine a time without CFC's as a propellant/refrigerant and now hardly anyone remembers it, we progress as a species eventually, albeit at a snail's pace.

I doubt 2017 is taking the hottest year on record we haven't barely seen 90 degrees, let alone a heat wave.
