So 90W each? With the driver's cut?
The ONLY REAL UVB artificial light source is flourecnt. You can get it from a 150 cmh from Endomaxx but it's supposed to be double jacketed and it's not. Plus I wouldn't buy a glass of water if I was stranded in the desert from that idiot. What is the best way to add UV to QB grow? UV LEDs or UV bulbs? Do I need a wide range of UV LEDs to provide the right Solar UV spectrum?
not exactly true. I have seen 2 honest LED growers here. of course they were criticized by the rest of the LED crowd. that being said I have used the bridgelux ED strips which use the same samsung 561 diodes and they are much more efficient than the older bridgelux diode and even most cobs. they do provide more uniform light distribution but will burn plants if placed closer than 15 inches away. plant do require more care to deal with the deficiencies that occur with LEDs and yield and quality was lower than test grows with a 150 watt hps.I'm a T5 PU MMJ closet growers but I like experimenting with other types of lights and from grows on you tube and test grows by green house supply companies my disappointing experience with LED is not uncommon. no hydro shop of garden center in my area carries LEDs and none recommend them. T5s are by far the most popular grow light with HPS holding a strong second place although cmh is a strong and upcoming challenger.the LED crowd is a very vocal minority. why do you let them upset you? or do you just enjoy arguing with them?on you tube the average yield is about 0.3 gpw for cheap multiband leds and 0.45 gpw for high end lights using cree or osram LEDs so when a small group of stoners claim that they can beat conventional grow light by an incredible margin using homemade grow lights most people who have done their homework just ignore them. I could claim 2 gpw if I weighed my buds after trimming but before drying

Most LED does not emit UV light. This is a feature, not a bug. I've grown some of the best quality product I've ever enjoyed under LED lighting, so the use of UV supplementation is strictly optional. What is the best way to add UV to QB grow? UV LEDs or UV bulbs? It's important to harden plants off to UV lighting as its intensity is higher than anything in the visible spectrum. They can handle it but need a gradual ramp up- or add it in veg so they're ready when you flip.Ask your plants if they want UV, I asked mine and they told me to fuck off....
I really don't think that any HID lights give off enough UV to make any difference, with two exceptions; Thanks. I have seen debates about whether UVA or UVB sources are more effective at triggering a defense response. What do the CMH bulbs give off?
@pop22 - the efficiency rate of LEDs over filament bulbs is ridiculous! People are slowly getting it. I guess if people have unlimited free electricity then they won't mind running fans and air conditioning to cool all of their HPS lights.

I am using Arcadia T5 HO 12% UV bulbs. 6-8 hrs/day....The ONLY REAL UVB artificial light source is flourecnt. You can get it from a 150 cmh from Endomaxx but it's supposed to be double jacketed and it's not. Plus I wouldn't buy a glass of water if I was stranded in the desert from that idiot.

Im using some cheap plurple full spectrum chinese cobs which have both uv a and b as an experiment to control stretch/ and initate flower let you know my results. So far i started them week 2 of flower and it stopped stretch so well see if yeild is affected and anything else. What is the best way to add UV to QB grow? UV LEDs or UV bulbs? Blurple and full spectrum are all but mutually exclusive terms. Blurple excludes most of the spectrum, more or less by definition.Im using some cheap plurple full spectrum chinese cobs which have both uv a and b as an experiment to control stretch/ and initate flower let you know my results.
