Strain Identification - Mixed up my seeds!

Hi there,

In a bit of a dilemma and wondering if anyone can shed some light in my direction.

Long story short - Ordered seeds, mixed all seeds up and looking to identify them. They are Mid Flower 4 weeks in, They are starting to develop individual smells but its to hard to narrow it down, as the haven't started to form there ending buds.

-Girl scout cookies X4 -Big Bud X4 -LSD X4 -Blue Cheese X4 -Brian Berry Cough X4 -White Widow X1 -Anon OG X1

There is obviously a higher probability they are going to be a mixture of the strains I have X4 of.

Has anyone grown these and think they could identify @ there current stage. They are in 55LT pots so reluctant to take them out for photos unless someone is at least semi confident/competent.

Strain(s) ??? :(

Grow medium H&G Coco 50/50 Coco/perlite Mix

Light size & type Currently Under 4X 600W Galaxy Ballast, each dialed up 30%

Pot size and type or hydroponic set-up type 55LT

Nutrient type and schedule Advanced Nutrients Coco A+B B-52 Big Bud Coco Bud Ignighter (Off now)

Watering schedule and pH of your runoff or reservoir water Twice Daily, Run Off PH - 6.1, PPM 1450-1550 MAX

Cheers guys.

Would like to add I have X4 of these in flower. Posted a similar question in another forum and got flammed and banned "for having 22 plants being a cash crop grower"

you will never know lol, you HAVE to make sure you mark the pot or plant with some colored tape, or zip tag.

the most you can do now is, try and guess the % sativa or indica; one leaf type/shape. even that is a shot in the dark.

those are hybrids, and with the pheno variable, there is to many probabilities.

dammit, thats what I thought.

I have them all marked 1-4.

clones taken from originals are also labbled;

1 (one, two, three, four etc etc)
2 ( one, two, three, four etc)

That way if I get a good one can continue it on.

Looks like I'll be playing the guessing game when it comes harvest time

You'll just have to sell it as Unknown since you can't be sure. Sucks. I like knowing the strain that I'm smoking.
if we are just going on the word of the source, then I guess he could call them whatever. "what's in the jar" does it matter so long as its fire? its not like dispensaries are very scrupulous anyways. "hey tom were out of G4" tom "just put the G4 label on the mega glue"

I've never been to a dispensary but I imagine that some of them do that shady business. I'm glad I never need to go, to trust their word lol.

It's actually 80% perso, 20% for friends.

I just like knowing what I have (probably have OCD) Last strains were Amnesia, Triple Cheese, Sour Chiesel and Liberty Haze.

Amnesia being a 100% Sativa I left for the day, Triple Cheese was my night smoke, Sour Chiesel was my all rounder and Liberty Haze well I wasn't to keen on tbh.

You'll know when they are done. Most of those are distinct, just don't know the lsd or big bud.

It will be near impossible to tell.

The cheese will be obvious because of the smell. Its horrible stinky.

Maybe the berry ones will smell like berries.

The big bud will most likely have the biggest buds.

White widows are unique in smell and taste once you've had them.

Maybe. Just maybe there is a possibility of id later in flower for a couple of them.

This speaks a bit to the theory that it's nonsense to a degree. If we cannabis 'experts' cannot identify strains, how different can they be? SoOLED already suggested that.

Yeah, starting to agree with the above statement. I'd say in a blindfolded test I could pick a cheese strain a mile away but its so distinguishable and stanky. As for other "Flavours" or "Scents" Berries all smell the same to me, or fruit smells I should say. Citrus is mostly the same with the exception of Lemon Skunk etc, To many "Earthy/Woody" strains to begin counting. Diesel is pretty recognisable.

If I remember I'll re-post when I crop and we can do a guessing game. I know someone who claims he purchased a device that electronically scans the bud somehow using a scent detector runs it against it database and can narrow the strain down pretty accurately... He can also be a compulsive liar.

Maybe this will be the start of a career of blind smell/taste testing your plants? Best bet is to wait till harvest and side by side them with pictures and the descriptions of what they should smell like etc. Good luck :)

Just don't mix up the jars. ;)

Based on what you've told us, I'm guessing:

1 lsd
2 white widow
3 big bud
4 gsc

Worthless without pictures......

rubbin a stem and smelling it will give you a small clue. Ive noticed the smell has distinct aroma to the strain. Cheese, citrus, diesels, berry, Haze, you can pretty much tell if youv smoked it before.
