Thanks, yes, a cheap one, yesterday temperature range 79f to 86f, humidity 40-60 for last twenty fcur hours.Nice and tidy set up. Do you have a temp and humidity gauge in there?
It is 4:30 PM and outside temp is 101. Lights run from 4:30 pm - 10:30 am. Nighttime temps outside only going down to the high 70's, crap. Going to turn lights way down in about two minutes. Thanks, yes, a cheap one, yesterday temperature range 79f to 86f, humidity 40-60 for last twenty fcur hours.
I have not run lights at their max yet, new lights. So far i am happy with spayed heat sinks. I have a 12" oscillating fan above the lights so that it hits the heat sinks. Have been able to put my hand on the heat sink without burning, somewhat hot but not bad at all.Hello @newgrow16
What is your opinion for the Temp of the splayed heatsinks when they are at their max 1.4A? Is it very hot?
Thank you

Shed may be in low 90's to start the night and i will be turning down the lights to help keep temperature in check.
My first grow I bought a big 24" Carbon Filter and blew my air out that filter hoping to save the world from the wonderful smell of growing marijuana. Well, as with everything, when the cart is in front of the horse, my obsession with the filter should have been with keeping bugs out instead. If heat is a problem and your outside humidity is low, I'd definitely try a powerful swamp cooler.
What kind of carbon filters are they and where can I get them?
Good choice with the RO water, you won't regret it.So i went back to the beginning of RIU and looked at the water thread by "Doc111". My tap water tests at 550-590 ppm, 8.2 ph. I visited city water website and found that the range of TDS 110-690 and hardness 13-370. Not much help there, other than chloramine is used. I have problems with scale buildup in my house around tap water.
Reading old crap I thought that letting water sit would rid it of chloramine, not true, just chlorine. Silly containers of water doing nothing but taking up space. Doc111 suggested grocery store RO water at .25 a gallon.
Just did a test, my store which is close, sells water for $.30 gallon. The water seems like it could be poured straight on my plants. The PPM is around 10-20, and then the PH tested at 6.6. 10 gallons of water for $3, from here on out I am buying RO water from the grocery store.
Growing pains. It happens to us all. I bet you'll be twice as vigilant now. Good grow log so far.Pretty rough night, lazy mistake which was close to destroying total crop. Lights come on at 9pm, daytime temp 104 and still 91 at 8:30pm, crap. Good news is I insulated shed and at 9:00pm inside shed was 88. The day before I adjusted fan timers, and screwed the pooch. It turns out I set two new off settings, turning off intake and exhaust fans at 1:00am and again at 6:00am.
I can hear the fans from my bedroom. I awoke at 3:00am from a nightmare to a disaster. I finally woke up enough to realize that there was no fan noise. Crap, probably blew a fuse, no, worse, lights are still on. Got up and when I opened door to shed I was blasted with heat and humidity, 106 degrees Fahrenheit inside and 95% humidity. Lowered wattage and got fans back on and within half an hour temp was 90 and humidity 62%
Plants and pots didn't dry out with a lot of transpiring going on. Stressed the crap out of them I imagine, but they were upright and not drooping. Pictures tonight. If I had slept until 6 I am pretty sure plants would have been fried and dried.
