Attention, attention. @Venus55 has indeed verified beyond reasonable doubt to me through a strict process of quasi nudo-gnostic testing that she is in fact a legit female. We should probably try to not scare this one away. I think I like her too. She's my new internet girlfriend. I'm allowed to have 1 on each continent. It says so in the bible.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I have found in my own life that rolling with the punches goes much easier when I stop throwing them.

And I totally agree. That is, if u are indeed throwing punches. That's the thing, I Rarely throw them. I can honestly say not once throughout this entire thread have I been 'entirely serious. I was laughing thru it all thinking everyone else was too. It took me a while to realise they weren't. ..At that point I may have swung a little... But was quick to retreat and decide to give u all the Arse!! Haha Literally!! Oh,, oh NO NOT literally!! Oops haha....LOL

Actually, now that I think about it. A lot of friends etc who've travelled to the US have mentioned that 'they don't really "get" our sarcastic sense of humour. Maybe that's what happened? Was all lost in translation?

-Fuck I have to stop! This small novel has taken me about an hour to type (not quite but nearly lol) Reelax time twas meant to be..

I have had friends and colleagues from across the British Commonwealth and not one of them has quite the same combative "sense of humor" overlaying ordinary garden-variety passive aggression. That is a bitch move (or pillock or ratbag or hoser or rass) in any community.

"May have thrown a few punches" does not qualify as any sort of useful or honest admission. If you throw punches, own them and be proud of them. If someone says to you "I may have hit you" how would you respond to that? Me I'd punch the fucking weasel (well, in my mind ... in reality it is time for the Pout of Remote Death, but this is the Internet so I can feign courage) right in the lie-hole.

To be honest its a mix of things.

For one this sub section there is a lot of morbid humor. A lot of teasing.

You add the problem of previous banned people making sock accounts it makes a hostile place sometimes.

There are quit a few intelligent people here also. Battle of the wits.

I wouldn't take things here serious.

Also there are 52 countries that make up the "British Commonwealth", all differing greatly culturally speaking u'd have to think? And it was merely a suggestion after thinking back to what friends had mentioned after returning from the US. I never stated it as a "known" fact.
