Okay lets be real guys: Machine trimming is super convenient and the thought of not having to hire a group of dudes to do trimming full time sounds like an awesome decision and a great investment... But from what I've seen the general consensus is that the machine trimmers typically to a hatchet job to the bud and rips all the trichomes off the bud, and if it does that then what IS the point of using these machine trimmers like the centurion pro, zoom tech, twister, etc? I get that the output is fast but if you're hurting the quality is it really worth it?
Then there is those in betweens like the wander trimmer which is a hand trimmer but with a little motor on it, I feel like with these trimmers and the right training you can trim the bud really well and preserve the trichomes. If you aren't careful with that trimmer and have heavy hands though, chances are you'll probably dig into the trichomes still.
Lets talk Hand Trimming vs Machine Trimming, any reasons why Machine trimming could still be good minus the trichome issue, and your favorite trimmers!
